By being born with white skin, I possess more privileges,
By being born with white skin, I am seen as more sophisticated.
Having white skin does not make me better,
Having white skin does not make me smarter.
It is unfair, that people with darker skin are looked at differently,
It is unfair, that people with such a rich culture are reduced to nothing more than a color.
It is odious when someone doesn't speak English, they are seen as inferior,
It is odious when someone wears clothing deeply tied to their culture, they are judged.
It is appalling when someone infers the worst about a person based on their appearance,
It is appalling when someone has to suppress their personality because others don't accept it.
Why are we biased? Why are we prejudice?
Why do we label people? Why do we encourage stereotypes?
How have we become so narrow-minded, that we see anyone different, as a threat?
How have we drilled the idea into our heads, that anyone from another place is unintelligent?
No one should feel the need to hide,
No one should feel ashamed of themselves because they aren't what society deems "acceptable".
We are all human, we should not judge based on the origins of another person,
We are all human, it should not matter how much melanin our body produces.
I am white, you are not, we are still equal.
