A/N: Got Jaxston's pic up. :) A younger Shane Harper! Lol.
How long has it been since I've updated this? Over a year. Geez. I bet all my readers are dead by now.
Anyway,
God Bless.

I'm gonna puke.
All over Tony's Sperry's.
God, if you're there, I wouldn't mind some divine intervention right about now!
Nobody says anything for a second, though it seems like hours. Jax has a hard stare fixed on Tony; dead in his eyes. I'm expecting Tony to incinerate any second. Though he seems pretty relaxed were he is, he couldn't move if he wanted to.
I'm not the object of Jax's death glare, but I'm blushing so much that I'm sweating. That, plus the heat of Tony's arm across my neck...I don't know if the crazy feeling in my stomach is butterflies or dread.
Probably both.
"Not long enough."
Tony chuckles. "Still got hard feelings for me, Austin? Too bad. I was thinkin' we could hang out sometime when I heard you came home. You know, hit some balls or something."
Jax's stare falters a little as his eyebrows turn down in confusion. "I just got home. Like, 4 hours ago."
"Word travels fast about the Austin Ace, man. The whole team watches you play college ball. Your legacy is still at Morris High. Miss it?"
Jaxston has a disturbed look come across his face. Like he's thinking that his amazing high school baseball career where he lead the Morris Mongrels to two championships, and being named MVP both his Jr. and Sr. year, as a bad thing! This Jesus stuff has really got him switched around.
Or maybe be got some drugs at college.
"No. How do you know my sister?"
I stiffen and hold my breath. Nice, bro. Thanks for changing the subject. I give all this a mental eye roll.
Tony turns his head towards me and smiles. My heart stops. My chill persona is dropping. "Oh, Lil and I," I notice Jax clinch his fists at the pet name, "We've become pretty good friends since you've left. Haven't we?" He gives me a squeeze followed by a wink.
I choose not to chance a look at my brother, and look at Tony as I say, "We've been hanging out." My voice comes out soft and I look to the floor. "I guess." Idiot! You're so weak!
Tony chuckles and removes his arm. "You're sister is pretty cool, Austin. I like her." He gives me one last look, one that seems to burn into my eyes and says, "I'll see you around, Lil."
"Okay." It's all I can muster. Give me a break.
Tony walks away and I watch him mostly because I don't want to face Jaxston. I close my eyes. Why did this have to happen again? I never got a clear answer on that.
I open my eyes, turn, and my gaze falls straight into Jax's. It doesn't look pretty. His mossy green eyes have turned so dark with anger...frustration...annoyance...probably all of them...that they look brown.
"What was that?" His voice is tight with aggravation and his words grind together like he's chewing gravel.
Suddenly, a flush of resistance and anger washes over me. What right does he have to talk to me like that? I have my friends and he has his. If he doesn't like it then he can get over it. My voice has an edge when I say, "What was what?"
