Why is everything the same? Same fake marble hallways. Same fake beauty queens with their own self-inflicted struggles. Same terrible teachers doing it for the pay. Same me, struggling to blend in without my other half. This whole world feels like a small dense ball now that Baylee left it. Before it was so vast but now....I've seen it's ending. Everyday I walk to the library pick a table and pull out my book. Being a bookworm would be fun. Eating the pages when your done.

"Hey, I'm new here, can you help me find a good book?"

I groggily raise my eyebrows and look at the guy standing before me. Oh crap, he's cute. Too bad I'm gonna go all Bitch on him to get him to leave.

" umm, we're in a library I'm sure you know how to look" I return to my book.

He chuckles, " I suppose so but friends are also a nice thing to have"

" sorry, not interested"

"In being my friend?"

"Nope" I pop the p. still not making eye contact.

"Okay, sorry for offending you. I'll just go now"

Okay I feel bad. I stand up and rush behind him " I'm sorry, it's just, gawsh, I'm not good with friends" awkwardly twirling my curls between my fingers.

He chuckles, " a catch like you? I find that hard to believe"

" I've been through a lot"

Gosh. Why did I just say that! He was the only friend who didn't know but yet That's all I know. My best friend died.

" oh , I'm sorry"

"Your good, I'm gonna go."

"Atleast let me walk you to class"

I blush. "Fine"

"Fine."
