Meeka pov

I'm finally done with this case and can't wait to go home and take a nap. *Ring Ring* I look in my back at my phone and see that Andrew is calling me.

Andrew- Hey Meme what are you doing

Meeka- I'm still at work but about to leave in a few. why

Andrew- Just was checking on you. And wanted to let you know that this week my sister is coming into town and if you wanted to see her let me know

Meeka- Alright thanks for letting me know. I'll hit you up later

Andrew- no problem

I hung up the phone and just in time my boss comes into my office. "Tameeka honey how are you" "I'm good ma'am just a little tired after working on this case" "Oh well you will be fine" She says taking a seat down on the chair across from me. See I really don't like this woman much but she pays me so I don't complain too much. "Yeah. so umm what can I help you with cause I was about to leave in a few after I finished up this last report" "Well straight to the point aren't we" She chuckled. "Well I just came in here to tell you that I am proud of all of the amazing work you have done on this case and not to long ago it was a board meeting" (gco) "Wait there was a board meeting!!! I am so sorry I missed it my assistant didn't inform me" "no no child it was for the leaders for the company departments and we talked about who should we have take the next spot are your name popped up"

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Usually when your name is brought up in those meeting it could mean your fired or that someone is leaving and you have a chance at getting the new position. "So Tameeka, we think that you would be perfect so starting in two weeks we will begin your training to see if you are fit for the job" I couldn't help the huge smile that appeared on my face after she said this. "Thank you so much ma'am" "Now don't thank me now" she said. "Cause you never know what could happen" She then begin to get up and leave. "so have a good night hun and by the way you can take these two weeks off" And with that she walked right out my door.

I was so excited that I decided to treat myself and call Dime to see what she was up to
