Casper's POV
I was shaken awake by my little brother indicating that we had arrived. My mom married my stepdad, Bill, about a year ago and we just arrived to our new home. There were only two weeks of school left so we decided to just wait till next year. Our new house was a one story pink house in a big neighborhood. I stepped out of the car and started helping unload boxes out of the U-Haul truck. After all of my boxes were in my new bedroom I went outside to see if Scotty needed any help.
"Hey Scotty."
"Hey Cas will you help me carry this box in." He asked and pointed to a medium sized box.
"Sure."
As I was following Scotty inside I saw a boy who looked around my age running home. He looked at us as he was turning and Scotty smiled and waved. The boy smiled and nodded before turning back around. I have to admit he was pretty good looking.Benny's POV
I was running home and as I was turning I saw our new neighbors. A boy who looked about a year or two younger than me smiled and waved. I nodded my head back at him. A girl about my age who was probably his sister was carrying a box and just glanced at me. She was beautiful there was no doubt about it.Casper's POV
The next morning I woke up and Scotty wasn't home. I went into the kitchen and asked my mom where he was. Apparently he went to go make friends at a baseball game. I was kind of confused because Scotty doesn't know how to play baseball or any sport for that matter. I remember I tried teaching him to play volleyball one time so he could practice with me instead of building contraptions in his room all day. He broke his thumbs because he didn't have his hands in the proper position when he was passing. I just decided to go unpack my belongings and wait for Scotty to come home so he can tell me about his new friends.
When Scotty came home he didn't want to talk about what happened at the baseball field. He asked Bill to teach him how to play catch tomorrow and went to bed. I felt bad for the kid because he has never really had any friends.
The next day Scotty and I were sitting on the porch when a guy about my age approached us. I must admit he was pretty cute.
"Hey I'm gonna go play some ball and we need an extra guy. You wanna come?" He asked Scotty.
"I can't my glove is busted. Thanks though." Scotty politely replied.
The boy pulled a glove out of his back pocket and tossed it to Scotty. The boys were about to leave but before they do the guy asked if I wanted to come watch. I smiled and nodded and got up to follow them.
We went behind a drugstore where the rest of the team was. A larger kid with red hair was miserably failing at acting as Babe Ruth.
"Hey Benny it's about time it's already 9:00." A short kid with glasses said. "Guys this Scotty Smalls he is playing with us so now we have a full team." Benny told the team.
"Well, hello gorgeous!" A tall skinny kid said to me.
I made a disgusted face at him and all the boys laughed.
"Bertram, back off!, Benny said, "this is Scotty's sister.....what's your name?"
"Casper."
"Casper."
"We'll come on what are we waiting for we are losing daylight lets go." Said the same kid who called me gorgeous.
"Wait wait hold up a minute." Benny said.
"Scotty, Casper this is Timmy and Tommy, Squints, Yeah Yeah, Bertram, Kenny, and Ham." Benny introduced.
