Geno's POV

Today's another boring day again. Bad day. I got fired because there're new workers works better than me. I'll have to find another job again. But just staying at home is not a good idea, even though I'm the lazy type. So I leave the apartment, which is my home, and walk down the streets, on the sidewalk. Just keep walking to get away from the stress, also looking for a new job.

While walking, I also looking some of the florists. Lots of flowers blooming are decorated beautifully and artistic. Mostly of them are decorated in a basket or in heart shape. And the couples are staring at the flowers, complimenting and... showing love to each other. I sighed. It's not like I am jealous... but... I just wonder... how it'll feel when you're in love. But that doesn't mean I want a lover. Right now I cant even take care of myself... since I lost my job. Let think about that in the future... I just walking and day dreaming like that.... until I noticed a florist. The decorations is.... very plain. But nice. The colors is pastels and makes me.... really interest in it. Not much people noticed this florist like the others colorful and showy. Maybe... "Let just explore this florist a little bit"

I open the door and walk in

- Hello?

A human girl, about 17, hurriedly stand up from her chair, welcomes me with a smile. Her smile somehow... showing tiredness, and almost sinks into hopeless. Her left eye is bandaged, but the other's shining like star. That's what I thought, don't get me wrong.

- O-oh, yes. I'm so sorry. What can I help you?

- N-nothing at all. I just interested in this flower shop and want to take a look inside.

- Oh well, please do! We don't mind!

The florist is small, but the silent and quietness is really comfortable. I explore the area a bit. Full types of flowers are presented in here. Roses, daisies, asters, sunflowers, and lots more. I explore a bit more until my eye-socket hits a flower. A rose. Black rose. Unique.

- Um... why there's only a black rose here?

The girl's eyes widens, then she said with an awkward voice:

- O-oh, well... it's the special one! We found it in a batch transfer. It's really special... but... no one bought it...

- Why?

- W-well... it's really beautiful... but it's like.... I hope you won't hate us or run away after this...

- Go ahead - I said, curious

- It's like... a sign of.... death. Whenever someone touch it... well... they'll got hurt by the thorns... Roses have thorns is normal... but... the thorns this black rose... is... deadly... - The girl said, seems to hiding something.

Deadly?

I questioned.

- What do you mean by... deadly? You mean... if touch the thorns... I'll... die? Instantly?

She nods lightly. Wow. Maybe this is the reason why not much people visit this florist. This black rose... sure really beautiful and unique... but I dont know it's that toxic.

Suddenly, I tripped and fall. Dang it, clumsiness. My fingers... accidentally touched the thorns (nope. Not sleeping beauty. nope  nope nope)

The girl's yelp echoed all over the store.

Nothing happened.

I stand up, my head bumped into the floor. But nothing happened. No hurt or feeling anything wierd.

- W- What? It's not... hurt you!! How did this happen? - The girl's eye widens. It's seems like she's surprising like me too.

The thorns of the black rose, yes, did touched me. But I don't feel anything. No hurts or anything.

Instead, the thorns falls. Every single thorns on the black rose slowly falls out. Soon, the black rose is completely safe, not even a thorn on it. Our eyes and eye-socket widen. Or... the flower has dead already?

- H-how.... no way.... you- you're....

- U-um... I'm so sorry. I didn't meant to....

I said, awkwardly. I think I ruined the flower. But it's still beautiful. What the heck happened?

The sky has being taken over by the dark of night, and the light of the full moon and stars. I come home, and put the black rose in the vase has filled half with water. I dont understand what was just happen... I tried to fingured out why but it just... mystery... And I cant find any job.

- Tomorrow will be a hard day... Oh well... - I returned to my bed
