Its Just Us

They were leaning on the railing together, neither one wanted to speak and interrupt what was happening infront of them. They were happy with their silence and they were having a good time. On the left stood Mason, he liked to go out of his way to help others and his friends. He was outgoing and people enjoyed having him around. On the right side was a girl nicknamed Jellyfish, she was the exact opposite of Mason. She preferred to keep to herself and only talk quietly to her friends. Mason was one of these friends and being friends for 5 years, they enjoyed being together.
They knew a lot about eachother. Favorite hobbies, favorite foods, favorite color etc.. But what they didn't know is that Mason and Jellyfish had a crush on eachother. Neither of them showed a single sign of interest in the other, leading them to believe that they weren't loved by the other. As they thought this, Mason looked around the area.
"Ya know it sure is empty here, I thought more people would like to see the fish." he said breaking the silence.
"I, for one, am happy that no one else is here. I enjoy the silence especially in big areas like this." Jelly responded as she looked at Mason.
Mason looked at her for a moment before he blushed a little and turned his head back to the water.
'Dammit why must she be so beautiful?' he thought to himself.
"Is there something wrong Mason?" Jelly asked as she looked confused yet amused at the same time. Mason didn't know but he hadn't hidden his blush well, causing Jelly to laugh a bit.
"What do you want to do next Jelly?" Mason asked, ignoring the small giggle that he heard from his friend.
"Lets look at the jellyfish." Jelly replied in a hurried manner. This wasn't very surprising to Mason as Jelly's love for jellyfish had brought about her name Jellyfish.
Mason shrugged as Jelly soon started walking off to the jellyfish aquarium and followed closely behind her. They soon arrived at the jellyfish aquarium and looked through the water at the different types of jellyfish. Mason smiled to himself seeing that Jelly's face brightened as soon as she saw the jellyfish. He then cursed himself as he noticed his face getting warm again. Jelly took notice of this and decided to ask him about it.
"Hey, Mason, are you-" Jelly asked only to take a step into a puddle of water causing her to slip and fall. Mason reacted quickly and caught her and pulled her close to him.
They both breathed a breath of relief before realizing how close they were to eachother. They soon started blushing and froze in their positions.
"Mason..." Jelly was the first to speak, "you can let me g-", "I like you" Mason spoke cutting her off and causing both of their blushes to deepen.
"Y-y-you wh-what?" Jelly stuttered out with her already timid behavior getting worse.
"I said I like you, a lot." Mason said again while hugging Jelly.
"H-h-how lo-ong ha-ave y-y-you l-liked m-me?" Jelly said with the words coming out in a stuttering mess.
"For about a year now." Mason responded causing Jelly to blush more realizing they started liking eachother around the same time.
"It was when-" was what Mason was gonna say if a pair of lips weren't pushed against his. His brain finally made the connection that Jelly was kissing him and bring him out of his dazed state.
"I like you a lot too." Jelly said releasing him from the kiss with all timidness gone from her voice. They soon smiled at eachother as Mason started to laugh.
"I never would have thought that a girl as beautiful as you would like a guy like me." he said kissing her once more.
"Well you better believe it cause now I'm not doing anything without you by my side." Jelly said as she removed herself from Mason's arms.
"Fine by me." Mason replied as he started to leave the building realizing that it was getting late. Jelly soon caught up with him and walked by his side.
"Need a ride home?" Mason asked arriving at his truck knowing the answer he was going to get.
"Yes I do, now drive me home." Jelly said getting into the truck. Mason could only laugh and grin like an idiot while getting into the driver seat.
"Will do Jelly." he said as he closed his door and started up the truck only to receive a kiss on the cheek from Jelly.
"Thank you." she told him.
"For what?" he asked her.
"For everything you have done to help me and support me, now lets go." she replied.
"Alright then." Mason said as he started up the truck.
"Lets start a new adventure, together." he said as he drove away from the building that now bound them together.
