Pirates In Love: Strange Fates

Hey guys! I’m cutting my rant short since this was supposed to be released on my birthday (I’m sorry all this typing and making the cover and fatigue caught up and I literally passed out) but it is released nonetheless! The second book of Pirates In Love! Where more secrets shall be revealed and it gets WAY more exciting. Nathan’s P.O.V.

I sigh, cutting up onions quickly, today has been tiring and those sisters never seem to stop getting into trouble but… it’s ok, I think. Everyone seems livelier and I can’t say I don’t enjoy Mira’s company.

“You need any help with that?” Mira happily chirps looking up at me and I raise an eyebrow,

“When I need help I’ll ask you myself” I shortly tell her concentrating on finishing off cutting the ingredients for the broth.

Mira frowns in concentration and gives me a long and calculating look until I stop, set down the knife and turn my attention to her when she hugs me laughing.

“Nate, you look really cute when you’re working and concentrating so hard like that!” she grins and I can’t stop the faint blush that I feel,

“Whatever. Let me work in peace” I gruffly tell her when she suddenly gets on her tip toes and kisses me.

“C-U-T-E” she sings and I shake my head trying to avert my eyes when Belle walks in looking slightly miffed,

“Sorry, did I interrupt something? I’ll just excuse myself then oh and… is that Russell and Thomas behind the cabinet?” she frowns staring at the cabinet when Russell and Thomas jump out looking guilty.

Belle places her hands on her hips and sternly looks at Thomas who promptly blushes,

“I didn’t expect this of you! And Nathan, really, you’re so observant, how could you have missed it?” she chastises and Mira stifles a laugh beside me daring me to answer.

I stare into her dark mahogany eyes and back at Mira’s beautiful, light brown ones and wonder how they’re sisters. Their appearances may match but their personalities definitely don’t.

“…” I open my mouth to say something but nothing comes out and Mira grins playfully clearly entertained by my distress,

“Oh sis, you’re so silly. Of course he didn’t notice, we were busy” she smiles and Belle’s face flames and Russell and Thomas make a face trying to sneak away when I stop them.

“It’s nothing like that I assure you and where do you think you’re going? You’ll be washing the dishes for the next two weeks for this” I glare at the duo and try to ward off any misgivings Belle might have.

Belle shakes her head and grabs Thomas and Russell,

“Er, well, um, Thomas! We’ve to clean the deck right? And Russell you also! Keep a lookout… or something, we’re supposed to be going to Vega tomorrow right?” they quickly depart and Mira smirks up at me.

“I’m surprised Belle didn’t snap at you or anything” Mira continues and I ruffle her hair,

“You think you’re going to get out of this so easily right? You’re washing the dishes for the next two weeks also” I firmly tell her and her face falls and I smirk. “Surprise” I chuckle and kiss her forehead going back to work.
