GLORY GIRLS CHAT
Chu Yunxiu: So wait a sec, you're telling us that Bai Shu has a FEMALE cousin and is now working for Tiny Herb?
Liu Fei: Yes
Su Mucheng: *celebration emoji*
Dai Yanqi: THAT'S GREAT! DOES SHE HAVE AN INTEREST IN FANFICTION WRITING? I COULD REALLY USE HER HELP.
Chu Yunxiu: Which one is it this time? Is it YuHuang or AllXiao? (YuHuang - Yu Wenzhou x Huang Shaotian, AllXiao - Everyone x Xiao Shiqin)
Dai Yanqi: ALLXIAO! I was writing it the other day during training and I think captain found out so...
Liu Fei: RIP
Su Mucheng: Did he say anything?
Dai Yanqi: No, he just left. But I think he's been avoiding me the past two days...
Dai Yanqi: BACK TO THE TOPIC!
Dai Yanqi: WHAT IS SHE CALLED, HOW OLD IS SHE, WHAT CLASS DOES SHE PLAY AND HOW CAN WE MEET HER.
Su Mucheng: Calm down! We're not stalking her!
Liu Fei: Bai Mu, I don't know but about Mucheng and Yunxiu's age, Exorcist and Beijing.
Su Mucheng: Actually, Ye xiu will be returning to Beijing to visit his family. Maybe I can tag along.
Chu Yunxiu: Because totally no one from Tiny Herb will suspect team Happys new captain visiting them.
Liu Fei: It's okay, I'll bring Bai mu outside so we can meet in a cafe instead.
Chu Yunxiu: But what about the rest of your team? Although this season just ended, they still have to stay for a bit of training.
Dai Yanqi: Don't they have a vice-captain now?
Chu Yunxiu: It's Fang Rui.
Dai Yanqi: ...OH.
Su Mucheng: It's fine as long as they don't blow up the house.
Su Mucheng: And we still have Guoguo, she can control them.
Chu Yunxiu: Hopefully.
Su Mucheng: ^J^
Liu Fei giggled at her screen one last time before heading towards the canteen. When she arrived, she spotted her usual table with Liu Xiaobie, Gao Yingjie, Yuan Baiqing -- and of course from now on Bai mu. Her thoughts floated back to the conversation she had earlier on QQ and she waved at Bai mu before heading towards them. However, Bai Mu seemed to have a troubled expression on her face as her gaze landed on the chopsticks on their table.
Does she not know how to use chopsticks?
Liu Fei's eyes met Baiqing's as she mouthed that question to him while squinting her eyes to Bai Mu. The boy replied with a confused 'WUUT DID YOU SAY?!'
She rolled her eyes and took a seat.
And found Bai mu using chopsticks with both hands.
Liu Fei instantly looked around to see if anyone was watching them. Wang Jiexi was chatting softly with the new vice-captain Xu Bin -- Check. Zhou Yebai, Liang Fang and Li Ji sat in a three behind them also having a loud conversation about food -- Check. Xiao Yun and other trainees from the camp sat together and ate quietly by themselves -- Check.
Nobody noticed --
Liu Xiaobie turned around and saw Bai Mu. And spat out his rice.
-- yet.
Gao Yingjie gasped and ran away to grab a tissue box while Yuan Baiqing was making an effort to not laugh at his friend Xiaobie who had a face now drained of colour from shock and embarrassment. Bai Mu quietly placed her chopsticks down on the table and slid away from the pile of chaos Liu Xiaobie created on the floor.
"Whats going on?" Wang Jiexi stood up and Liu Fei felt his eyes burn right through her. By now everyone was staring at them.
Seeing that they have now caught the Captain's attention, Yingjie scurried back with a box of tissue in his arms, "Captain..."
"Captain, Liu Xiaobie was just really shocked at something..."
The boy held his hands up defensively, "Captain, I swear to god I did not do that on purpose."
Wang Jiexi frowned -- Liu Fei felt the whole room tense up. Then his expression softened, "It's fine, make sure to control yourself more next time." She heard Yingjie sigh in relief as the captain continued, "Yingjie, give me the tissues, I'll clean them up. You can go back to eat."
"T-Thank you captain!" the boy shouted enthusiastically before bowing and handing Wang Jiexi the box.
Bai mu swallowed down a surprised gasp when she actually saw the captain bending down to clean the mess beside her. Isn't he going to spoil them too much? Knowing that this was technically her fault, she took a few pieces of tissue from the box and knelt down beside him.
"Thank you," he glanced at her sideways.
She shook her head, "It was technically my fault anyway."
"The forks and knives can be found in the second drawer under the chopsticks."
Bai mu felt her cheeks redden up. So he did know!
"...Thanks..." She didn't know what else to say.
"I heard from Xia Yi your style of weapon designing is quite different from the ones in China."
Bai Mu's thoughts flashed back to some of the notes she'd written in her notebook. Compared to China, Europe tended to have grander designs and unlike the Chinese where they tended to enhance their careers' abilities, Europes designers liked to add other buffs to the attacks. "I guess you could say that." Maybe she should try and combine the two ways together one day.
"If you don't mind me asking," he paused for a while to bunch up the tissues, "where did you learn that from?"
There would be no harm in telling him I guess, "Europe. I lived there for almost my entire life. This is my first time in China in about 20 years."
Wang Jiexi rose his brows at that, "GLORY related occupation, I presume?"
She nodded.
"You must have been a very famous weapon designer there."
Famous, yes, weapon designer? No. She nodded, more hesitant this time.
Gathering up the final bunch, Wang Jiexi swiped all the tissue bunches into his arms and stood back up. "I hope you enjoy your time here in China."
She stood up and shot him a small smile, "Thank you."
Wang Jiexi nodded and left.
Why did this man remind her more of a father than a captain?
