BEVERLY'S POV

Great! Just great!
Now I have to live with some boy I don't know and only the stars know how he's going to be. He better not get in my way or else I'll unleash my wrath.
I couldn't help but call Cathy and start my rant.
"Wait so this Darius guy is moving in your house?" Cathy asked for the n'th time. Goodness this blonde!
"Jesus,Cathy! That's what I've been blabbering about since the last 5 minutes" I yelled on the phone.
"Ouch! I think my ears are bleeding! now calm your ass!" She said "so what did Jenna say?"

"She didn't say anything" I muttered.
"Come on Bev,she's not that bad. At least Give her a chance"
"Maybe I will. Anyway I got to go. I have to get Darius' room ready." I air quoted and rolled my eyes and we hung up.

I got his room ready. There was nothing for me to get it done anyway.

After dinner I went to my room and started with my homework and all the papers that were due this week.
Urghh! I really hated high school.

I stared at my calculus book for a while and then got so frustrated only by looking at it that I started to bang it on my head.
Nah. I'm not insane.
Not yet anyway.

Suddenly there was a knock on my door.
"Come on in" I said as I quickly straightened up and continued with my work blasting music on my midnight blue speakers.
"Hey Beverly" I heard Jenna say as she sat on my bed.
I turned on my spinning chair to face her turning the volume down.
Her faun hair was covering most of her gorgeous tanned face as she looked down at my teddy bear in her lap.
HOW DARE SHE TOUCH MR.FUZZY JINGLES!!
I got up and took the bear from her hands and went back to my spinning chair as sat as I hugged Mr. Fuzzy jingles.
Her big bright hazel eyes stared right into mine and her petite figure scooted towards mine.

"Bev I -"
"Beverly" I corrected her.
" well Beverly, I know it's hard for you to accept me as your step mother but you're gonna have to live with that now. When I met your father and we fell in love, he told me that I could never replace his first love, Elenor and that she would always be first. It's difficult to move on honey but you have to. I always wanted to give you the life and the love you deserve but you keep pushing me away. I am sorry that if I did anything wrong honey but I need you to know that I love you and will always be there for you." Jenna finished with a slight smile on her face.

I didn't know what to say. I was so shocked to even listen to what she said. Well she and my father are never around anyway. I basically raised myself after I turned 15. Ever since she got married to my father I've always shut her out and was rude to her but I think Cathy is right. It's about time I give her a chance.
"I'm sor- I was also rude when you first moved in so I think it's alright. I hope you understand why I act like that. I was really close to my mum. Both my parents actually and now that even my father is never home, it gets weird and lonely"I say pulling my teddy even closer if it was even possible.
She pulled me into a hug and stroked my hair. She was kind and caring. I could feel it. I pulled away from her " I have to get back to my homework so please excuse me" I said and she nodded leaving the room.
I turned up the volume of the song that was being played and continued with the assignment.

Beep beep beep
I groaned as I woke up with the sound of that stupid alarm that I have to put on in my phone,otherwise I'd never wake up.
I had fallen asleep on the desk and now my back was sore.
I quickly changed into my sweats after washing my face and went for the run.

I ran in the neighborhood and not a lot of people were there,but whoever was there, they all gave me weird looks. I was officially creeped out.
I came home and Jenna asked me how the run was.
"People we're looking at me in a weird way. Do I look ugly or something?" I asked pulling out my head phones and realizing something.
Jenna bursted our laughing and so did my father .
I had forgotten to plug in the headphones and ran like a maniac bursting all the songs out real loud.
"Fuck!" I muttered under my breath and ran up the stairs to my room leaving the two still laughing in the kitchen.
I had a quick bath and put on my clothes and grabbed my bag after tying my hair up and running downstairs.

"Here I made pancakes" Jenna placed a plate with pancakes with raspberry sauce on it. It smelled delicious!
I gobbled it up and left for school .

After 3rd period, I was near my locker putting the books away when suddenly my locked door slammed shut.
I jerked back "what the fu-" I was cut off by an angry looking Laura.

"You didn't tell me about the guy who's moving into your house!" She yelled in the hallway.

"And you almost took my bloody fingers!" I screamed back.
"What ?! A guy is moving in with you ?!"
" really? Beverly ? What?"
Said Oliver and Raymond respectively.
I mentally face palmed myself real hard.
Everyone was looking at us now giving weird looks.

"Wow!could you be any more loud Laura? Would you like to announce it on the School speakers too?"I asked with a frown on my face opening my locker again.

"Beverly,Cathy told me. You know how embarrassing it is? To get such a news from someone else?" She narrowed her eyes.
"How is it even embarrassing? I was going to tell y'all today anyway." I said rolling my eyes.
"Fine whatever." She said walking away. Damn someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I slammed the locker shut and turned to see Cathy giving me a timid smile.
"You can't shut your mouth, can you?" I asked with a frown.
"Nope" she smiled "but you love me anyway"
"Oh do I?" I teased
