"(Y/N)!" My head shot up in alarm at the sudden call of my name. I looked around and noticed none other than my secretary, Kim Taehyung, waving at me with his boxy grin.
"Mr Jeon's calling for you!" He yelled across the staff room, gathering everyone's attention. My cheeks flushed and there were only two reasons for it. One of them being that everyone's eyes were on me, an introvert. The other being that I lowkey liked "Mr Jeon".
I've been working at Jeon's Marketing for about two years now, the same duration my boss has. My boss, Mr Jeon, also informally known as Jeon Jungkook, was currently the youngest boss active in Seoul. Not to mention, he was also my age and totally my type.
His chestnut hair, sparkling chocolate eyes, a toned body. Oh, how could I resist? He was basically a living snack, waiting to be devoured. Above all, he was the kindest, sweetest person I have ever met! Whenever a staff screws up something at work, instead of scolding them, he politely tells them where they went wrong, and gives them another chance. What an angel!
"Uh, (Y/N)? Hello?" I blinked and realised that I was daydreaming about Jungkook again. Oh no. I heard snickers from people around me. I must have looked like an idiot! I was blushing furiously too! Ugh, please wake me up and tell me this is all a dream...
"(Y/F/N)!" Taehyung's deep voice roared, making me jump and look at him. He was right in front of me, hands on his hips as he shook his head. He let out a sigh and leaned down. So much for everything being a dream...
"What are we going to do with you, (Y/N)?" Taehyung chuckled as he offered me his hand. I placed my hand in his large ones as he pulled me up.
"Come on now, I'm sure you wouldn't wanna keep Mr Jeon waiting," Taehyung teased in a sing-song voice. Oh, how I hated him so. I glared at him as he stuck out his tongue playfully. Taehyung and I have become best friends over the time we've worked here together, so I was fine with his behaviour around me.I took a deep breath and raised my fist to knock on Mr Jeon's door. My heart was racing. Calm down, (Y/N). You see him every single day. Stop being so obsessed! I scolded myself repeatedly as I finally mustered up the courage to knock on his office door.
Knock!
"Come in!" His deep voice turned my legs into jelly. Come on (Y/N), get a hold of yourself! Don't keep him waiting any longer!
I pushed open his office door and bowed 90 degrees. "Good afternoon, Mr Jeon. I heard you needed me for something?" I looked everywhere but his face. I definitely did not want to embarrass myself in front of him.
"Ah, yes. Please, take a seat." He gestured towards the empty seat in front of him. As I sat down, I looked at his face. Oh my goodness, he was glowing! He was facing the cabinets at the side of the office, giving me a perfect view of his defined jawline. He could cut me with it and I wouldn't even mind. Oh my, the things I would do to-
"So, how have you been?" His voice interrupted my daydream (thankfully), and I noticed he was looking straight at me. My breath hitched. (Y/N), calm down. Stop it.
"I've been doing great, Mr Jeon, how about you?" I put on a smile and replied him.
"I've been alright. Oh, yes! I wanted to meet you to discuss an issue regarding the upcoming company event. The welcome event for the new staff?"
I tilted my head in confusion. Why would he need me for that? That was the planning committee's job. Not mine.
I simply nodded my head in acknowledgment, encouraging him to continue. He scratched the back of his neck shyly and continued, "Well, you see, the person in charge of T-shirt designs had to leave to his hometown due to an emergency, and now I don't have anyone to design the T-shirts. I was wondering if you could do the job? I've seen some of your artworks, and I trust that you'll be able to get the job done. What'd you say?" He put on a wide smile. I was only the manager of the company, not the designer, would I really be able to get the job done?
I was nervous. What if he didn't like the design? What would he do? Scold me? Downgrade me? Fi-
No. This is Jeon Jungkook we're talking about here.
The angel that wouldn't even hurt a fly.I flashed a broad grin and accepted the job with a, "Of course, Mr Jeon. I won't let you down!"
"Great, I'd like to have the design printed out onto the shirts by Monday next week. You are dismissed. Thank you." He politely said as he got up and left his office. I sat there, stunned. How was I supposed to design and print everything by Monday?! It was already Friday, leaving me with this evening, tomorrow and Sunday!
I was doomed for sure.
