An unamused female voice asks monotonically. I have no idea who she is but from her appearance she seems like a teacher.

That's when I realize that the next period has already started and I've been looking at the boy, I met just a few hours ago, for the past 5 minutes.

I blush. This is embarrassing. Yet I'm happy. JiHyun was also starring at me.

From the corner of my eye I see him looking down at his book, focusing hard on it.

Smiling to myself I also do the same.

"Okay class, that's all for today. "

She stands up from her chair and so do we. As she exits I can feel JiHyun's eyes on my side profile. My cheeks heat up.

What is this feeling ?

The speaker in the room booms to life.

"Students of class 9A your 3rd and 4th periods are off due to an unexpected staff meeting. Please keep silence-"

The announcement can't be heard anymore as my classmates shout like rampant animals about to kill someone. Although they joyous not angry.

I look around. Everyone is busy. They are either chatting with their group of friends or flirting with each other. I don't think I'll be able to make friends in this high class school.

"Y/n ?"

Someone calls my name. I turn around and my eyes meet a pair of small ones. She's dangerously cute with white skin and shoulder length hair.

"Hey Y/n ! I'm Min YoonJi !"

"Hello YoonJi ! Nice to meet you !"

And just like that I found my bestie. We start to chat about anything and everything. JiHyun beside me reads his book with rapt attention as if nobody is in the room except him.

After our 1 hour chat session she declares me as her soul-sister.

What more do I need than a friendly and cheerful bestie ?
