Going Back To Get Away

"Hey, Redhead! Wake up, girl!" I heard a faint voice waking me up.
"Hayley come on, we gotta go to the next activity now!" It was Sharon, my best friend.
I fell asleep at a lunch table at a normal-not-so-fancy restaurant. I rubbed my eyes for a second and sat straight up.

"Man I'm so tired! I can't believe they're letting us do this. This whole trip will be the death of me" I yelled to my her.

"Come on, don't be so whiny. We're all tired" Sharon said and
just nodded at me in agreement and shrugged as if she didn't want to show it bothered her as much as it bothered me.

- Five days of exhaustion on a school trip.
Of course it was fun.. Sightseeing and visiting places we had never been to... Oh and don't forget the remarkable accents.

London was a living city. It was my first time here. A school trip for all the senior year students in my school. Not like there were a lot, it was just a small school after all. I actually had no right to complain. I was at a wonderful place with great friends and good food. But the schedule of the whole trip was just way too much, and tiring, everyone agreed on that.

We'd get up at 6 in the morning, have breakfast, get ready for the first couple of museums to go to. Then we'd have a small break, a lot of activities, dinner and so on. We'd be lucky if we were back in the hotel at midnight. And repeat the whole process over again the next day.

Luckily, today was the last day here. We got 3 hours of free time to explore the whole city. Me, Sharon, Alfa, Jon and Taylor went together as a group.
We'd all been friends since 7th grade. But I've known Sharon and Taylor since kindergarten. We were all best friends.

We wandered around through a shopping mall and stopped by a few shops. There wasn't really something specifically I was looking for to buy. We couldn't bring back a lot of extra luggage after all. So I wasn't really paying attention, and the others seemed to enjoy themselves.
Sharon was, as always, glued to everything that had the word anime or manga in it and since there were enough of those things in London she was a really happy Sharon. Alfa and Jon, the couple, were on the other hand glued to each other. Hopelessly in love, but a little less PDA wouldn't have hurt.

And then there was Taylor. My dorky musically talented afrohaired friend. He had extremely fine curls and they would bounce everywhere when he'd play guitar for me. He was excellent at it, he only couldn't admit that to himself, which was sad, but whatever.
He had the same problem with me. He thinks I'm the best singer of all people in Nashville, our hometown. But I never believed him, and I didn't see my voice as a gift or whatsoever.

Taylor was walking to my right but a little before me, so he couldn't really see that I was observing him. Luckily, just in case if he caught me. I liked looking at him, he was always somewhere else in his head. He was such a daydreamer, and he had a certain passion in his eyes for all the things he adored. I loved that. Just anyone with a burning passion for something it'd make their eyes light up if only you would just mention it. I loved his eyes too. Okay this sounds weird but, he just wasn't ugly.
I liked looking at him because he just had an interesting look and he was very down to earth but also totally himself. He didn't care about what other people thought of him. At least, it seemed like that to me. I think that was why we got along so well.
We were both outcasts.

I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't hear someone snapping their fingers in my face. That someone was Taylor. I blushed and laughed a bit.

"What were you looking at for so long?" He said with a slightly muted voice and sneaky grin. He started walking a bit closer to me so all the others wouldn't hear. I giggled a bit at the touch of his arm brushing to mine.
