Chapter four: Hurt and Care
Alec lies there, gasping on the ground. He sits up slowly, wincing in pain. He's determined to get to Magnus so off he goes, limping around in the dark and tripping over every little thing. Finally, he makes it to Magnus' house, knocking on the door. He gasps in pain when he hears rustling behind the door. It opens, showing Magnus in a brown vest and pants. His face changes from smirking to worried when he sees Alec on his doorstep.
"Alexander, what on Earth?" He holds him and brings him inside. Alec whimpers and Magnus sets him on a couch in the living room.
"Now tell me what's the matter." He brushes back black strands of hair from Alec's sweaty forehead.
"I'll be fine, sir. I just forget to eat once in awhile," he swallows, closing his eyes from the pain. Magnus looks beyond worried as he frowns worriedly.
"That simply cannot do. I'll get you something to eat my dear, poor Alexander." He stands up and rushes off to the kitchen, coming back with a plate full of cheese and bread. He sits next to Alec once more.
"Here, my dear Alexander." Alec sits up, with Magnus' help.
"Thank you, sir. You really didn't have to do this," he says, eating the food that Magnus brought him.
After he eats all his food, he snuggles into the couch and blinks up at Magnus sleepily. The last thing Alec sees is Magnus smiling sweetly down at him.
Magnus looks beyond worried. What is going on over at that house? Why is Alec forgetting to eat? What does he have to do all day? Eating, such a simple and basic thing, slipped his mind as easily as sand slips through fingers. Magnus is beyond worried, Magnus is terrified. What's wrong? What does Alec have to go through?

Hey guys. I know you're like "why all of a sudden the short chapters?" Well it varies on when the chapter should end off. I've found it is easier to make chapters when I feel like they should be cut off, not trying to push for a certain word count. I hope you enjoy these new chapters, also thanks to my amazing beta once again!!!
