There aren't many discrepancies in this book other then why are the royalty running around without guards?
Well many of the kingdoms here are happy with their kings and queens and don't have problems with the monarchy so other then being escorted long distances keep animals away everyone looks out for everyone and that includes the royalty.
Though there one or two nit pickers they don't actually want to hurt anyone.
