Author's note: This is set in the modern times, do not ask me what country because I will not say, but basically, it's Europe. Yes, I am aware it is not a country but you know, the place will probably be set there.
The Scrymogeour family characters and King Phillip all belong to my wonderful friend. :D She knows who she is.
Enjoy.
Chapter One:
The blonde young man paced around his sister’s room quietly. For a royalty, he sure didn’t look like one at the moment. His usually neat blonde hair was messy and could not be controlled; boxers, and a big loose shirt, that was his favorite, had replaced his suit. He wore the bunny slippers his older sister gave him for his 15th birthday too.
“Leo. It’s just a ball.”
“It’s a ball for me to find a woman to marry, or Dad’s going to fix me up with the Princess of the Kingdom of Lilaron and I won’t like it!” He said, folding his arms on his chest, and then turning to his twin. Her cold blue eyes looked into his, making him shudder. “Hey. Stop complaining, I’ll be married to the prince of Ulilaric, who I have never met, just for alliance, and to think he also needs an heir to the throne is just gross!” She said, rolling her eyes. “And put on some proper clothes. You are a prince.” She said, looking up and down at him. “I don’t care! This is my house. Soon.” He said, looking at him. “We’re both coming of age soon. Right? 3 months, then you’ll be the king. Then… We’ll be separated, you know? Who separates twins anyway?” She said, looking at her twin.
Yes, Louise had been a bit neglected all her life, only being spoiled by objects by her father, and the only people that had mattered in her life was her sisters and her brother, and her Mother. Leopold was the one they had waited and longed for. An heir to the throne to Aeivia, not knowing there was another child in the Queen’s stomach, and would be out in less than 5 minutes. Out came Louise Scrymogeour, the Queen’s last child. She was Leopold’s sort of other half, you know? They were twins. They had been together in the womb, and were both raised in the same house. Their rooms would always be right beside each other, and they would always use ‘we’ when explaining something.
He would never think marriage would separate them. Not ever.
“Lou—“ “Don’t you dare call me Lou, Poldy.” Leopold cringed. “Alright. Louise. At one point we would get separated, you know? So anyway, I have an idea, sister.” He said, lying down on his sister’s bead. “Go on, fluffy.” She looked at him, raising her eyebrow, her famous smirk playing on her lips. “Alright. I’ll help you with Prince unknown, you help me with the ladies.” He said, looking at her. “You regret that you never came out of the castle in your free time, huh?” She grinned. “Yeah, now, I think I need to go think all of this through.” He said, then left the bedroom quietly.
3 months had passed, and he was turning of age. He needed to get married very soon. They had tried coaxing him, bribing him, doing anything to get him married, bringing ladies in, but it was no use. This one was the final moment. If they don’t get a girl in 5 months, well, it’s time to figure out another plan.
Leopold was fixing his suit in front of the mirror quietly. He knew that some of the guests had arrived, and that his sister was also still getting ready in the next room (He could tell from the groans and swearing that she was forced to get into the tight corset.) and both were very nervous.
