Part 2: "After The Fact"
(includes bad language, and blood/gore - you have been warned)
The morning after was quiet, the barracks were silent, only the small sounds of near silent movements of a few of the other team members, who were awake that early in the morning. CJ and Clara had gone to get breakfast. They stood in the kitchen, talking among themselves quietly so they didn't wake up the rest of the team. CJ leaned against the island counter in the middle of the kitchen, as Clara sat on the opposite counter to face her teammate.
"So, how did you sleep?" Clara asked CJ, grabbing a granola bar from the cupboard above her, ripping open the wrapper as she listened to CJ rant.
"Well, I would've slept better if Prim wasn't fucking yelling all night!." CJ hissed, crossing her arms over her chest as she stared up at Clara. "Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if her room wasn't right next to mine."
"She was yelling? Odd, I didn't hear anything." Clara replied, thinking for a moment as she took a bite of her granola bar."Clara, your room is all the way at the other end of the hall, of course you didn't hear it!" CJ snapped, nodding in the direction of the hallway.
"Alright alright, simmer down. What was she yelling about, anyways?"
"Something about Sebastian. She was arguing with Vincent, but I couldn't hear his side of the argument. He was being surprisingly calm about it."
"Why do you act so surprised that she's upset over Sebastian? She loved him. He loved her. It's good Vincent was calm about it, though. Fighting with her will just make her more angry.""Yeah, whatever. I still want to see someone fi-" As CJ spoke, her sentence was interrupted by the sound of glass shattering and someone screaming. It wasn't a scream of agony or fear, it was a frustrated and angry scream. It was Primrose. She was screaming at someone.
Clara and CJ followed the sound of the glass and Primrose raising her voice. In the main sitting room, Primrose was standing on one side of the room, holding her scythe blade tightly. Blood trickled down her hand as she gripped the blade tightly. Primroses cheeks were wet with tears. At her feet sat a pile of glass shards. She had knocked over a ceramic vase in anger. Her focus was fixed on the other person in the room. A large man who stood at over 6''5, was positioned defensively on the opposite side of the room. He seemed kind of confused, but easily as frustrated as Primrose.
"God dammit Prim, I didn't kill him, for the last time!" Victor called out, moving around the room to keep distance between him and Primrose.
"I could have saved him, Victor. I could. Have. Saved. Him! But you decided to stop me! You are the reason Sebastian is dead!" Primrose cried, paying no attention to Clara and CJ who entered the room. CJ immediately jumped in between them after seeing that Primrose had a weapon and nodded in the direction of the hallway, signalling for Clara to go find Vincent. Clara immediately understood and hurried down the hallway.
"Prim, they were going to kill us all if you stepped foot onto that arena! I was saving all of us! Why don't you see that?" He stammered as Primrose made her way significantly closer. She was within arm-length now.
"If you were saving us all, Sebastian would be standing here with me!" She shouted, pushing past CJ and storming over to Victor. CJ turned and reached up to pull Primrose back but before anyone could do anything there was blood everywhere and Victor was collapsed on the floor as Primroses blade protrudes from the middle of his shoulder. Primrose stabbed him with her scythes blade. Blood stained Victors clothing and eventually began to pool on the floor. Victor was speechless and in shock, looking down at his hands that were covered in his own blood. Vincent speeds into the room with Clara trailing after him. Clara rushed over to Victor as Primrose stood over him, breathing heavily as she stared down at her hands.
"God dammit.." Vincent mumbled to himself. His patience was running out with Primrose, and now Victor was dying because of it. In rage, Vincent swung his hand up itowards Primrose. His telekinesis set in as he threw her against a bookcase, knocking her out. Vincent looked up at CJ for a moment.
"Get her out of here. I have to deal with the shit she's caused." he hissed, before joining Clara by Victors side.
Now they were stuck with a ticking time bomb that took the form of an abnormally strong woman who shared the soul of a wolf, and everyone knew damn well that she was ready to go off.
