New York,New York

I watched as he came out of the small brown building. He walked arrogengtly as if someone owed him something. He hummed Frank Sinatra and tossed the ciggerate from finger to finger in his hand as he drew in the tobacco and blew out the white vapor. He smiled as if he was in heaven; and I guess to anyone else watching he would be. James Cartwright Jackson was a shrewd venture captilist who made it big betting on local kid's dreams. He was the man behind some of the most prized inventions in the city, and the mayor himself considered him a long lost son. But James was also a damn good liar, extortionist, hustler, thug, and even a new title he came himself... Pimp. I chuckled as James looked around into the night and watched to see if anyone could see him. He was a paranoid bastard and I guess if you managed to piss off half the under world in the city I would be paranoid as hell to. James continued to look and I stared right at him until finally our eyes locked. His brown orbs became dull, his hands dropped the cigarette and without warning he took off. I put my car into gear and sped after him. He ran as fast as he could in five inch snow and managed to have a pretty good getaway for a while. Until he ran onto some black ice and slipped and landed straight into the icy cold snow. My car sped up gradually until the tires were curb to curb with James. I got out and walked over to him and looked at him. "Your number has been called James my boy. Someone wants you..." "Look spare me please.. I got a kid.. Don't.. Don't you have one?"
"Maybe I do.. And maybe I don't. But I would want my kid.. My heir to be safe and secure knowing I can return home. And if I don't kill you... Well that ain't gone happen." I pulled my gun out and clocked the hammer, James looked up into the barrel of the gun and a small tear filled his eye and cascaded down the side. I almost felt pity... until I remembered the paycheck I was being given. So I pulled the trigger, put the gun in my coat pocket and walked back to my car; got in and drove off. Never once did I think about my actions... Only my reward.
