Impracticality

JIMIN knows what impractical is. He's living it. He has a rather impractical friend, and a rather impractical crush.

But he doesn't tell anyone about the latter.

The short sixteen year old was nimble, with divine ash blonde locks. He had a small frame, his lower body tight and muscular from years of dancing, a soft stomach and baby cheeks forming an all around mesmeric appearance. He had gone his whole life known as the ugly kid, up until about freshman year when his baby fat slimmed out, his legs taking their sculpted form, plump lips and a rather plump rear, gaining attention with the whole school. He had slowly grown into the exquisite boy he is today, popularity thriving amongst the high school.

You could say he was talkative if you knew him well enough, but he was still a quiet reserved boy. Straight A's, and student counsel proponents helped give him the soft aroma he held. Known for being kind and sweet, he was also known for being what some would call a "Mary".

The young man had never even touched a boob, which would come out as quite the shocker due to the amount of girls thrown his way. It didn't seem to surprise most, though, when it was heard all over the school that he was indeed a Virgin. For although he was popular, his body worshipped and attitude adored, he was too shy to become close to anyone who tried. So sooner or later, he received less attention from the kids at school, reputation changing from baddy to prude in a heartbeat--which was a blessing to Jimin. He had seen the other's as a nuisance. Besides, he enjoyed the friends he had currently.

"Jimin-ah, when are you going to step outside of your studio for once?" The whiny voice of Jung Hoseok, senior at the school Jimin attended, and long time friend of his.

The two were on the phone, talking about their spring break plans when the topic of homecoming came up. Hoseok was pestering the dear boy with his demands, begging him to just pick someone and go with them already. Insisting he already had lines of girls waiting for him.

The thought alone had Jimin's stomach churning in anxiety, and at the mention of girl's, he about cried. What a funny thing to say to someone as blatantly gay as him.

Jimin had bit his tongue, laughing awkwardly through the cellphone receiver before responding. "We'll see, hyung. I gotta go!"

The eighteen year old on the other line groaned, mumbling a quick "bye Jimin-ah", before the sophomore hung up fervently. A sigh escaping Jimin's lips, he ran a hand through his hair as he stood up from his blue bed, stomach growling in hunger.

Right as he touched the knob to his door, he heard a soft ding from his phone, a sequence of vibrations urging through the phone--in a pattern that was set for one person in particular, Taehyung.

Kim Taehyung was a sophomore like Jimin, tall and lanky with sharp features, and a deep voice. He had hair that resembled a mop, that shaped the frame of his face, a box smile to go along with his friendly appeal. He was the opposite of Jimin, an impractical friend for a reserved boy like him. Loud, obnoxious, and outgoing. The words that were the very epitome of Kim Taehyung.

Despite his lack of interest in others, the boy had met Jimin freshman year, clinging himself to the diminutive boy automatically. It started with short conversations, and soon, his advances towards Jimin grew larger, until the boys were inseparable. Two peas in a pod, if you will.

And while Jimin had been over to the boy's house countless of times, on many occasions, it was on the very third visit that he had met a certain vigorous man. Kim Jungkook. The eldest amongst the Kim brothers, two years older than Taehyung and himself. The meeting was rushed and surreal, but Jimin will always remember it.
