The ski trip was over. The Rainer family drove down the twisting mountain road, happily recalling the amazing weather at Mammoth Mountain, in Northern California.

"

The grey and blue dressed vigilante fired both webshooters, each one snagging a gun. A smirk was present under the mask. Not that the wannabe robbers knew. Even if they did, they'd not understand why.

"Watch it! It's that Spider-Freak!" One of the goons yelled to his friend. He pulled a knife in an effort to injure the vigilante.

A shrill warning was issued by the teen's suit. She whirled around and flexed her fingers in the blade's direction. A barely visible ripple in time was sent from the vigilante to the robber's knife-wielding hand.

"You must be mistaken. I'm not a 'Spider-Freak'. Can the 'Spider-Freak' do this?" She asked. Her fingers curled further, almost as if she were pointing an invisible rod. The small ripples grew in intensity, slowing his hand to a fraction of its original speed.

"What the hell? What's happening?" The man was frowning now. He could still move his hand, but it was like a delayed reaction. He twisted his wrist around, but it did so in extremely slow fashion.

"I'm surprised you've never heard of me," the young teen began. She held her left hand still in the strange position while webbed the thief up with her right. "I'm Hourglass."
