Chapter 1: Love?

                                                                                         Pidge POV

Coran dragged me back to the place I was born, claiming I needed to see it at least once in my life. I somehow ditched him, and by somehow I mean I distracted him and ran. Once I was safe I put my earbuds in and put on my favorite nightcore song, Insomnie male version. I looked over and saw something I never thought would make me almost stop in my tracks and stare. A boy. I slowly walked over to him and turned off my music. 'Maybe I should make some friends..' I muttered to myself, which caught his attention as he looks up at me with a smile. I could feel my cheeks heat up slightly as I kicked at a rock."I'm Katie..but call me Pidge.." 'DID I SERIOUSLY JUST TELL HIM MY REAL NAME?!' I yelled inside my head, a dark blush covering my face as he tilts his head to the side. The boy chuckles slightly, holding out his hand for me to shake."I'm Mathew, but call me Matt." I nod and shake his hand."Nice to meet you, Matt." Matt's smile grew, making it look like he just found his missing puppy or kitten, making my face go darker. I let go of his hand and put it back into my pocket."So, wanna go uhm..walk around or something?" Matt seems to like the idea as he nods, standing up and chuckling nervously."Wanna go to the aquarium?" I nod, giving him a warm smile."Sounds fun to me." Matt grabs my hand and pulls me toward the aquarium, as my mind raced wondering whether this could be considered a date or not!

                                                                               
Matt's POV

I turn around to see her face one more time as we reach the aquarium. She has a small smile as she watches me intently.  We walk in and get us our tickets as she looks around in awe.  We were encircled by a tank with large and small fish alike. A family of angel fish stopped in front of us, their faces looking like they were pulled up into a smile. I chuckle as I point at them, looking back at her. It looked like she was entranced and content with just staring at me. I could feel my whole face heat up, looking away as I heard her giggle.

Pidge POV

He turns away trying to hide his blush, making me giggle slightly when an idea comes to mind."Hey, can we go to the beach?" He looks back at that, nodding with a happy and content smile."Sure." We leave and head for the beach, making small conversation on the way. I found out he's exactly 2 years, 4 months, and 1 day older than me. We reach the beach and stare out at the ocean as I suddenly realize."Your birthdays in a week." He nods with a small smile."Yea, it is." I pull him close and nuzzle him."Wanna come here then? When its later of course." He nods as I smile more."Then its settled. That'll be our first official date." My smile grows as hell looks at me with surprise before chuckling."Yea, it will."
