"Jiminie, why don't I drop you off here? I'll just go look for parking." Hoseok asked as he put on the hazards. They both glanced at Taehyung's house.
Jimin turned to Hoseok, "You sure, hyung? I don't mind walking with you."
Hoseok put the car in park and grabbed the gift from the back seat. "Yeah, we're pretty late anyway. Here."
Gently Hoseok handed him the gift bag. They had decided to both pitch in to buy expensive Gucci shoes for Taehyung since he was really into the brand these days.
Jimin quickly kissed Hoseok then opened the car door, "Be careful, okay, Hobi?"
Hoseok smiled and nodded, then drove off after Jimin exited the car.
Jimin held the gift tight in his hand as he watched Hoseok's Honda Civic drive away into the distance. He looked around, the neighborhood wasn't like where they lived all too much. There weren't too many people around, and only a few cars passed by. It wasn't exactly the suburbs, but it felt like that compared to their block. Their block was always bustling with people and noise.
Taehyung was a recently made college friend of theirs who lived off campus. They had only heard that he rented a floor of a house in the city over theirs. Luckily his landlords were his friends, so they were completely fine with the idea of a house party.
Jimin looked towards the moderately-sized house. Quite a few people were outside hanging out and smoking. A few held beer bottles in their hands.
He pulled out his phone from the pockets of his tight leather jacket and went to try and call Taehyung. As he waited for him to pick up, he walked towards the house glancing at what everyone wore. Casual.
Luckily he had decided to play it safe and wore a plain white shirt and black jeans. The black leather jacket matched his black leather boots. For accessory, he hadn't forgotten about wearing their 'couple bracelets'—a beaded bracelet with silver tags that had each of their names on them.
He walked up the first steps and realized Taehyung wasn't answering. He figured it was from the loud music that he could hear even from the outside with the door closed. After putting his phone on vibrate, he turned the knob and walked in. Right away he was blasted with the familiar stench that only college parties had, and his ears were full of vibration from the music. He could feel the bass heavy on his chest.
He looked around but it was too dark to see anything past a few feet. That and everyone seemed to be taller than him.
As he walked around for a bit he finally found Taehyung by the kitchen.
Immediately he walked to him waving, "Taehyung!"
At the sound of his name, Taehyung saw Jimin, "Ah! Jimin! You came!"
They hugged each other, then Taehyung noticed he was alone, "Where's Hoseok?"
"He's finding parking! Oh, we got you this!" Jimin smiled as he handed the gift bag to him.
"Really? Thank you! Usually people don't give me birthday gifts because Christmas just passed!" Taehyung laughed.
"Hey, I gave you something, too!" The man standing next to him commented. He was a tall man with purple hair and glasses. Jimin figured he might've gotten off of work, too, because he was wearing a dress shirt with his sleeves rolled up and khakis.
Taehyung laughed, "Oh, Namjoon, this is Jimin. He's in my art class. Jimin, this is Namjoon, the house owner."
"House owner?" Jimin asked as they shook hands. "You trust Taehyung's friends not to break anything?"
