Jimin took a deep breathe as he took hold of Hoseok's hand. He bit his lip as he turned around to face Suga.
Taehyung interrupted them, though, "Ah, Suga, this is Jimin. He's in my art class! He's really good!"
Suga folded his arms with a grin, "Jimin, huh? Apparently you're good at a lot more than art."
Hoseok couldn't help but scoff, but before he could even say anything, Jimin squeezed his hand tight. Jimin spoke clearly, "Ah, thanks. This is my boyfriend, Hoseok."
Now didn't seem like the time to be less than blunt.
However, Suga glanced at him as if he were unaffected, "Oh, thought it was Hobi."
Hoseok took a breath to say something, but Jungkook interrupted this time—though Jungkook was probably unaware that he was, "He's a friend from my old school!"
"Ah, wow, small world." Suga turned to Jungkook then back to Jimin and Hoseok. He held out his hand, "My real name is Min Yoongi."
Instead of letting Jimin shake his hand, Hoseok planted the mic in his hand and tried his best to sound friendly, "Nice to meet you, Min Yoongi."
Yoongi took the mic willingly and was still unnerved.
The birthday boy started waving as if he just thought of something, "Oh! Do you guys want to drink? Jungkook you're old enough now, right? Let's all go outside, we have a little campfire, a sofa and chairs set up! It's really cool!"
"Sounds fun." Jimin smiled.
While they all went to the kitchen, Jimin and Hoseok strayed behind.
"What the hell is that guy's problem?" Hoseok muttered under his breath.
Jimin wrapped his arm around Hoseok to hug him, "Ahh, no idea. Don't mind him, hyung."
The younger one tried his best to smile and lighten up Hoseok's mood by acting cute. "Wanna make out in front of him?" Jimin joked.
"Maybe." Hoseok laughed.
Taehyung handed them each a shot glass then poured a mysterious alcohol into it. Mysterious because the bottle was wrapped in a brown bag. "Everyone's getting one since I said so!"
"Ah, Hoseok doesn't—" Jimin started but Hoseok signaled that it was fine. Hoseok had only ever drank once in front of Jimin, and he wasn't quite sure why because Hoseok never talked about it. He was pretty sure it wasn't something traumatic, but he'd soon have to remember to ask.
As they each cheered and drank their shot, Taehyung poured them each another one.
"Yah, Taehyung-ah, do you really want us to die tonight?" Jin asked. His face was still red from before.
Taehyung smiled goofily, "Actually, yes! So drink up!"

When they got outside they were met by the refreshing briskness of the air. Only a few people were outside, but luckily there were chairs and tables set up and still in tact. Each of them sat around the fire, beers in their hands.
Jimin sat on a chair next to Hoseok's smaller one, while Taehyung, Jungkook, and Yoongi took the sofa. Taehyung had taken the middle spot. Namjoon and Jin sat on the other stray chairs opposite to Hoseok and Jimin.
"We should play a game." Namjoon smiled as he took another sip.
"A game?" Jin asked as he dug into chips that he had brought from the house. "What kind of game?"
