Ivy League is a collegiate athletic conference comprising sports teams from eight private institutions of higher education in the Northeastern United States. The conference name is also commonly used to refer to those eight schools as a group. The institutions include Brown University, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, and Yale University. The term Ivy League has connotations of academic excellence, selectivity in admissions, and social elitism.

As Niall read the intro of his college handbook aloud, he laughed. He shook his head smiling, before folding and placing the small leather book into his pocket. He pulled off his black ray-bans and whistled as he passed a small group of girls. They giggled causing him to turn around and slowly wink in their direction. He turned around with a smirk, placing his shades on his head. His eyes surveyed the area, searching for the main building.
The monotonous tall, russet colored buildings caused shivers to go down Niall's spine. He took a deep breathe, taking it all in. He knew his relaxed facade wouldn't last for much longer. He ran his hand through his hair and started to walk down the cobblestone path. At an outward glance no one would think Niall was accepted to Brown University. His hair was styled with the scrapings of gel from the bottom of his finished container. His bright red t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up accompanied with dark- washed levis, made him look pubescent. His printed jansport backpack and large black guitar case didn't help. Niall didn't care what people thought about him. His mindset has always been, it's my life, so I do what I want.
Niall stopped walking when he reached the shade of a large evergreen tree. He looked up at the tree and smiled. He sat down at the base, setting down his backpack and guitar case. He slid his guitar clase closer to him. He ran his fingers over the multiple stickers that encased the lid, smiling at the memories. He unclasped the metal brackets, opening his case. He stretched over the lid and pulled out his Taylor 712 Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar. He pulled a white pick from his pocket. He pulled down his shades, to keep from blinding himself from the bright Rhode Island sunlight. He kept his eyes down on his guitar as he strummed to the new Ed Sheeran song 'All Of The Stars'.
He didn't notice another lad watching him from afar, ignoring his buddies. He didn't see the young man take off his aviator shades and lick his lips. He didn't notice him walking towards him. He didn't see the same young man stop, walking when another boy beat him to it. Niall did notice when a lean figure blocked the sun's rays on his tanning skin.
"Nice job man, you have a sweet voice." the stranger said before tossing something in his open guitar case and walking away. Niall's brows furrowed in confusion. He was just playing for his own enjoyment, nobody else was supposed to hear him.
Niall took off his shades, hissing when the sun went into his eyes. He squinted at the silhouette of the stranger. His eyes moved from the body to what he had put into his case. Niall's eyes widened in awe and in shock. He picked up the crisp one hundred dollar bill, evaluating it. Being the good boy his mother had taught him to be, he got up and ran after the boy. He ignored the multiple stares, from students and proffesors alike. After running for what seemed like forever, he finally caught sight of the lean figure leaning against a tree.
"Um, excuse me. I think you put this in my guitar case by mistake." Niall mumbled, nervously causing the stranger to smirk.
"No, I don't make mistakes. If I put it there, then I did it for a reason." the stranger explained, his eyes scanning Niall's panting figure. Niall looked at the ground, holding his hand over his chest. He was too busy trying to steady his breath, to notice the stranger checking him out.
"Well, you must have made a mistake today. So here take it." Niall advised. He grabbed the stranger's hand and placed the bill inside it, folding his fingers over it.
Niall started to back away, giving the young man two thumbs up.
"You know most people wouldn't have done that. They would've kept it." the stranger hollored holding both hands on the side of his mouth.
"Well, I'm not most people." Niall replied. He smiled in the direction of the stranger before running back in the direction of the tree.
"Yeah, I noticed that." the stranger added silently, watching Niall's figure disappear into the crowds of students.
Niall reached the tree and leaned up against it, sliding down slowly. He reached for his bag and pulled out a cold bottle of water. He grumbled as he struggled to turn the plastic cap. He finally opened it to his relief. He closed his eyes, as he chugged down all the cold liquid in the bottle. He kept his eyes closed as he threw the bottle down beside him. He felt a vibration in his pocket. He opened his eyes and pulled out his phone. He realized it was his alarm for his first class. He prayed under his breath he wouldn't be late as he grabbed his guitar. He got on his knees placing the guitar inside the case, but he stoppped himself. He picked up a note with eccentric cursive handwriting.
I don't make mistakes. Keep this one, there's more where this came from anyway.

He turned the note around and attached was another hundred dollar bill. Niall chuckled, looking around. He folded the note and bill and pulled out his wallet. He placed both inside and threw it into his backpack. He clasped back up his guitar case, and started to run in the direction of his class wherever that was.
He didn't notice the stranger smiling and staring from afar.
He didn't notice another boy staring at the stranger with malice in his eyes.
What none of them noticed was what life had planned for the three of them as they started their first day back from break at their ivy league university.
