A tall girl wearing stilettos that made her even taller was looking down at me. Her brown hair was the same color as mine, but was pulled into a neat but aggressive ponytail. She was wearing an emerald green dress that was tight and very short, but looked very good on her. She had darker skin than me, so there was no way I could ever pull of that color.

"Um, could you get me a water?" she said

"Very funny." I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm

"Oh sorry. Are you one of the Selected? I thought you were a maid." She smiled, as if that was a mistake anyone could make. I decided not to get involved. I walked over to Lady Jennifer, where all the girls except the one I had just met were gathered. The girl walked over and we began our way to our rooms. I was at the end of the first hallway. The girl, who I now knew as Quinn was across from me. A girl named Tyler was next to me, and next to Quinn was a girl named Summer. In the corner was a quiet girl named Springer. I thought that was pretty funny, having Winter, Summer, and Springer all in the same hall. I walked into my room only to see a familiar face.

"Autumn!"

"Winter!" I ran over and hugged her. I looked to see who my other maids were and I knew them too. In fact, they had recently given me my makeover.

"Cameron! Rory! I can't believe we're together!"

We all hugged, then got down to business.

"So Winter, tomorrow you'll meet the Prince. We have a dress for you in mind, but we want you to see it first." Cameron said

Rory ran into my closet, and pulled out an amazing dress. It was just a day dress, and yet I couldn't imagine wearing anything nicer than this.  It was a pale blue, an icy color. After discussing my outfit for tomorrow with my maids, I sank into my bed and fell asleep, not caring that I missed dinner.
