CHAPTER 4

I got a text at about 11 the next morning and barely slept the night before. I cleaned my apartment for a solid 5 hours until it was practically spotless, laundry, vacuuming, dishes, the whole nine yards. The text read, yes, it said this,

Good morning darling, See you in an hour

He called me darling. He is such a Brit. I got ready for my day, some black flattering skinny jeans, an old washed out tank and light flowy sweater. And maybe some heels? I'm going to coffee with Benedict Cumberbatch. You can't tell me no. Light makeup and I tamed my washed out brown blond curls and looked in the mirror. Damn. Why does he want to take this out. The bell rang. Here goes nothing.

I opened the door and there he stood and he looked perfect. A white v-neck tee with dark jeans and his black leather shoes. His hair was natural. The curls hung at his eye brows and his sunglasses made the v neck hang that much lower.

"Ready?"

"Almost." I went to grab my purse from inside and he followed.

"I like it." He said as he looked around the little apartment.

"It's not much but it's what I have."

"Where are the bunnies?"

He is a child I swear. Of all things to remember.

"They are-" before I could finish he ran up behind me right as I turned around and wrapped his arms around my waist. He laughed that deep chuckle and finally stopped swinging me around. His chin rested comfortably on my neck. He was wonderful. Nothing more.

"They are over here." I said, wanting to drag him to my room instead of to my bunnies. We walked in sync and he never let go of me, until he saw the bunnies.

"Can I hold them? It sounds childish but I love them."

"After? They just ate"

He looked at me puzzled,

"Please?" He whimpered. This is not a side if him I had ever seen on an interview or behind the scenes clip.

"How could I say no"

He kissed me quickly and opened the cage.

"What are their names?"

"I don't know if I should tell you..."

"Oh god, just tell me"

"Sherlock and Irene... Don't judge me. I like the show and the characters and the actors so it just kind of happened."

He laughed that deep laugh he does when he is flattered and unable to respond. He puts Irene down and closes the cage, coming back up he embraces me. His long arms wrap around my head and I bury my head in his chest. He swayed back and forth and kissed my head as I closed my eyes. Hoping it would last forever. He let go and stared at me.

"You are beautiful and you are mine."

His eyes sparkled that ocean sparkle they do in the correct light.

"We will have to see, we havn't been on this date yet. I could change my mind ya know." I bit my lip and looked down at my feet.

"Really? Well I will just have to impres you with my British charm and stunning reputation."

"Yea ok lets go."

We walked hand in hand to my door and down the stairs to his car. He was driving a black 77 bug and it was gorgeous.

"This is yours?" I was in shock as it was perfectly polished and he looked extremely hot as he got into the drivers seat. He honked the horn.

"Oh yes, it's a beauty. Get in."

"I mean, if you insist. You do know the coffee shop is 2 blocks away."

"Yea I passed it on the way here. Brewed Awakening, clever but appalling at the same time."

He turned the keys and the little thing turned on with a grumble. He grabbed his sunglasses from his low hanging shirt and put them on like the sexy bastard he is. We backed out of my mini garage and out into the sunshine. I squinted as I did not expect to be on the road. I dig through my bag and as I am looking down I see Bens hand creep over to mine. Holding the sunglasses that once hung on his shirt.

"It's fine, you need them to drive I can squint. Besides you look hot with them on so those sunglasses deserve to rest on that face."

"Put the fucking glasses on, I have extra, a man never travels with only one pair of sunglasses."

"Mr. Cumberbatch, Martin has taught you well." He laughed and I put on the sun glasses, his sunglasses, and we arrived at the coffee shop. We parked right in front and as I went to open the door, I was stopped.

"Don't you dare open that door." With a slam of his door he walked around the front of the car, slid his cumberbum on the hood and opened the door.

"Smooth." I said.

"I know, parkour is a hobby."

He chops the air and makes a stupid face as he does it. I laugh at his movements and features. I hopped out and before I could say anything his long arms wraps around my shoulder and I put both arms around his rock hard torso. He kissed my forehead and we walked into the coffee shop. Ben managed to keep his arm around me and open the door. He is perfect.

"Gosh aren't you the charmer."

He looks down at me and smiles.

"For you I will be just about anything."

Ben pulls me in and I wave to Susie who is the owner and a very good friend.

"Hey girlie! This must be the star that is your date." Ben smiled and looked down at his shoes. I squeezed his arm and listened to Susie. "I got a table over there in the back for you."

I ran up and hugged her.

"Thank you." She ran over to the open sign and flipped it.

"It's only half past 12 why close the shop?" Ben was oblivious to the fact this was all planned.

"This was the plan right?" Susie was rather confused as she thought I told him what was happening.

"Yes, he just doesn't know."

"Gotcha. Well you have run of the mill! You know the drill. Don't burn it down. Please." She took off her apron and kissed me on the cheek and ran our the door.

"Do you approve?"

He grabbed me by the waist and a smile spread across his face. He pressed his lips together and looked around.

"How could I not? A beautiful girl, an abandoned coffee shop, just us. The worst."

I stared into his eyes. He was so gentle and caring, his flaws were invisible and his curls bounced as we moved. I got up on my tippy toes and pressed my lips on his. The silent movements and swaying hips made the moment near perfect. His hair was soft at the touch and I could feel his pulse racing. I broke away from the embrace and grabbed his hand. He smirked and looked down and squeezed my hand tenderly.

"Coffee Mr. Cumberbatch?"

"I'd rather have you." He was so serious it hurt.

"In good time." I bit my lip and he laughed. "Now how about the coffee?"

My back was turned to him so he automatically went up behind me and tenderly wrapped his arms around me.

"Of course dear."
