The Demon Discovers an Interesting Human

AN: MY FIRST EVER SHANE X RYAN FANFIC! I'M READY, LET'S DO THIS! Also, this is inspired a bit by different fanfics I read about Shane x Ryan and I just wanted to make this. Enjoy~

[The demon(Shane)'s POV] I looked around this dusty, old castle and waited for something interesting to happen. It was getting pretty boring scaring random people who visit this castle just so that they can see if it is haunted or whatever spooky thing they come up with. Is that what they call it? Spooky?

Anyways, I always want to give them a reason to never come here again and to possibly make them go insane or at least make other people go insane. Sadly though, demons and spirits have to abide by some rules that state that we can't outright show ourselves. Most of the time. There are some exceptions but at least, never in front of cameras.

Humans should get more credit than what they are given down in hell. I mean, they were able to create a lot of strange devices that I have learned about from visitors. Cameras especially were very interesting considering that if you show yourselves in front of them, suddenly everyone will believe the crazy tales the human who had it has to offer. The strange thing though is that they only seemed to start to use them about a few decades ago. I guess they didn't think of the possibility before. Humans in general are interesting, but they get boring after a while. All of it does. All I can do is wait for something to make it interesting.

And after centuries of being in this castle, I finally got my wish and it was in the form of one human in particular. Ryan Bergara. Or at least, that's what the other humans called it. I have learned some things about humans so I would assume he was what they would call a 'child'. He seemed to be about 10 years old.

I don't know what it was about this 'Ryan', but it fascinated me. There was something about this small human that drew me to it. Perhaps it was because its soul was so pure or maybe because I had not seen a 'child' so young in a while. Whatever it was, it made me want to learn more about 'Ryan'.

I followed it and the other humans to outside the castle, making sure that I stayed invisible and I even took on a spirit-like form. They went into a strange and large object made of metal and I went inside also. I was unable to keep following them in this form so I possessed a random inanimate object that appeared to be a box made of some dried cow's skin. I think they called it a "suitcase".

Most demons and some powerful spirits are only able to possess living things, but I am powerful enough to possess nearly anything. It comes in handy occasionally, but possessing living creatures is normally better. The only reason why I didn't possess someone now was because I recognized that it would be known immediately.

We came to a few sudden stops, but I wasn't able to see much from where I was. I suppose if we came to some stops, that meant that we had been moving somehow. After one stop in particular though, I saw this contraption open up and light shone onto this vessel. I felt myself being carried into a house of some sort. Is this how architecture has really evolved into? What is this place?

I get out of the "suitcase" and turn back into my invisible form to get a better look. I look around for a moment before going through a wooden door that is covered in some strange thing which seems to give it its color.I look around once more and start moving. I keep moving until I find a human to possess.

My plan is simple, really. I will possess a human and learn how to be a part of human society. I have always wondered what they are like when they are unaware of myths or legends about ghosts and demons. I am also doing this so that I may find this Ryan again someday. As far as I am concerned, he will be mine.
