2: Friends?

"Ashlyn!! If you don't wake up now, you'll miss the bus and neither your father nor I will be dropping you to college!"
I woke up to the sudden shouting.
"What time is it anyways?" I asked in a quiet voice, still half asleep.
"It's 8:30 already!! You're going to miss your 9 am lecture today!"
"It's okay I'll catch up!" I said getting up and walking into the bathroom.
"Get a ride from Ariana! I am leaving!" She said as I heard footsteps Desend.

After a quick shower, I was about to call Ariana when she called me. Telepathy much?
"Hey Ana..."
"Hey ash..I won't be coming for any lectures today, sorry but I am sick....I know I promised to come over for dinner but I can't." She explained. Great!
"Ugh! How many times do I have to explain you not to eat canteen food. It sucks! I swear you caught something from there! Now how am I supposed to got to college?
Anyways,I'll find a ride. You better be ok by tomorrow!! Or else I am coming to your house and staying there until you feel better." I ranted.
It did brighten her up a bit.
After we said our goodbyes, I called west.
I am not sure why I had his number or why I considered it. But I just did.

After sometime, he arrived.
We quickly drove off as I sat into the car.
"Well I see you've come back to the super amazing MOI!!" West said dramatically. I rolled my eyes at him.
"You see, I don't have many friends nor do I have a car, well not anymore. Ariana is sick so who's left?"
"Wait..did you just call me your Friend? The ever so stubborn girl who hates me called me a friend? Girl, you're full of surprises!!!" He said trying to flip his hair
"I guess I could take that back if you don't want us-"
"Do you ever listen to me carefully?"
"Uh n-"
"I told you yesterday, no take backs!" I rolled my eyes yet again.
"You're crazy!"
"Ah, well I do try." He said smirking.
We reached the campus in 15 minutes or so. It was buzzing with people all either waiting for classes to start or bunking their lectures.
"How come you don't have any lecture? It's like 9:15!"
"I don't have any lectures until 10!"
"So why do you come to college so early?"
"To get away from my ever taunting mother!" He said jokingly. I flatly looked at him.
"Okay,okay, I come early to see my friends! And today you're going to too since you've already missed your 9 am lecture." He said dragging me with him before I could protest.
"How do you know that I have a 9am lecture on Tuesdays? I have never mentioned it to you and I never see you around in the mornings!" I asked suspiciously.
"Does it matter?"
"Yes!"
"Well no it doesn't!"
Another eye roll. I've been doing that a lot!
He walked towards the back building which no one uses anymore for some weird reason. It's just become the spot to hang out with friends now. I had never been there before, only heard of it. I was mostly studying in the library or hanging out with Ana I'm the canteen or something.
I saw a bunch of people talking until they saw us.
"Hey guys!" West said loudly from a distance.
I heard echos of 'hey' or 'hello'
"Umm..hi.." I said awkwardly. They all smiled at me.
"I'm-"
"We know, Ashlyn Waters." The brunette said. She was tall with greenish eyes.
"I'm Kate. ." She said in a warm tone. I brought out my hand to shake it with her's and so did she. I noticed a tattoo on her arm. It had a heart and heartbeats drawn.

"Nice to meet you." I said.
"I'm Myles." A guy with dirty blond hair. His eyes were brown. He's cute...wait what?
"Uh..hi.."
"I am Zeek" he was a person with light brown hair and hazel eyes like mine. I nodded at him.
"Allison. Call my Ally" the girl beside me said. She had blonde hair with blue highlights. She was gorgeous. Her eyes were too, icy blue.

Once we had our little introduction, we all talked a bit. I was mostly standing there awkwardly since I wasn't very social and was always reading a book or writing my own.
West's friends seemed nice but I wasn't one to be social. I was just hoping to get out of this awkward moment.
I looked at the time to see it was almost 10.
"West...I have to run, my lecture's all the way in building 1." I said quietly.
"Okay...I'll see you around?"
"Yup!"
"It was nice to meet you Ashlyn!" Kate said. I smiled at her.
"You should have lunch with us today!!" Myles suggested.
"No...I don't want to be a-"
"She's coming! Wasn't that obvious?" West asked.
"No seriously, I don't want to bombard you guys. Plus I have to study anyways..."
West rolled his eyes at me.
"Goodbye Ashlyn!!" He said before I could protest anymore and slightly pushed we towards the exit of this building.
I let out a chuckle and walked towards my class.

I walked with my nose in a book towards the canteen. After 3 boring lectures, it was the only thing entertaining to me right now. Ariana was not here so I pretty much had nothing to do.
But before I reached me usual spot, I was pulled back by someone. It was obviously West.
He put his arm around my shoulders.
"We all sit here..." He said leading me up to their table.
I hate socializing!! Why God? Why!?
I sat down beside West. The guys started talking among themselves.
"So...you and West huh?" Ally asked.
"What!? No!! We're just friends!"
"Nope!" West said. I glared at him. "Partners in crime"
