for those who are confused about the end, allow me to explain the plot.

as seen in the first chapters, rosé suffers abuse from her parents. she lives with her parents and older sister.

in this story jaehyun doesn't exist — only in rosé's head, he is her 'escape' from her reality, a hallucination she created.

rosé has a severe mental disorder called schizophrenia, for those who don't know what schizophrenia is, it is a disorder that affects what people think, feel and behave. people with schizophrenia may seem like they have lost touch with reality. Although schizophrenia is not as common as other mental disorders, the symptoms can be very disabling.

rosé stage of schizophrenia is 'positive'.

it's symptoms could be:

• hallucinations
• delusions
• thoughts disorders ( unusual or dysfunctional ways of thinking )
• movement disorders (agitated body movements)

jaehyun was a character made in her mind out of her dark personality and wish of affection from someone and his 'orders' were what she actually thought of doing to her parents.

the disgusting smell of cigarettes - about her sister, alice, who didn't care about rosé or how their parents treated her. one of the reasons why rosé wanted to have her dead along with her parents.

the loud moans that gave her headaches - her mother. her mother would cheat on rosé's father with other men in order to just gain pleasure from it. rosé hates her for doing that and the reason why her mother would abuse rosé was never really proper — she blamed rosé for the fall of their family and her marriage due to not knowing whose daughter she was.

his touches - rosé father took advantage of her out of the stress he had from work and due to his wife as he knew she would cheat on him. he — just like his wife — blames rosé for the fall of his marriage and their family, he also tended to put pressure on her during her school years.
