The sun kisses my skin, keeping it warm and just. The sunlight tickles my nose and teases my eyes. The sun speaks to me, gently and pleasing, telling me to rest and soak in the joy. Slowly, my skin glows pink, but then turns to a mellow tan. Freckles come out of hibernation during the freezing winter months, when the sky was imprisoned by the chilling, gray clouds that brought snowflakes and caused me to shiver through my winter jacket. This time is long forgotten, though, as I lay on the soft, prickly grass that tickles patches of bare skin. Butterflies float in the breeze, as I sit in the sun, absorbing the light. Summer beckons me, and I follow along.
