Today I woke up drenched in sweat. I could hear my heart drumming slowly, I was slowly falling in and out of conscious, tears stream down my face. I feel like I'm being strangled. I slowly start to fall, I get a slight glimpse of Annalise running up to me in tears till everything goes black. My heart is getting slower and slower till I hear silence. I lay there in complete darkness.
I finally find a way to open my eyes. BEEP...........BEEP............BEEP!! I look at the heart monitor and my heart rate is not like normal. I feel my hands are being held and my leg is being rubbed I look to see Annalise holding my left hand that has an I.V. in, Maggie holding my right hand, and Kristy at the end of my bed with her hand on my leg. "Oh my goodness! Chase are you okay!!" my aunt Manda came rushing in and fell to her knees in tears right next to Maggie. "I'm okay aunt Manda," I said as I untwined my hand from Maggie and put my hand on her face. She put her hand on mine and sat there.
"Miss Bowny.." "You can call me Chase" I interrupted Doctor McDyson but he just chuckled "Chase you have a heart disease that is sadly incurable...........I'm sorry Chase your estimated time will be a week." My infected heart plummeted to the floor with a hard thump. "So what are you saying?" I started to choke up "I'm sorry to tell you this Chase, I've known you since you were born but you have a week to live." he started to choke up himself. Christian McDyson is my age but we grew up together. He got his dream job at the age of 16. He's like my brother in a way. He sat at the end of my bed with Kristy as tears started to seep out of her icy blue eyes. We just sat there.....No one talked.....No one moved.....We just sat there in tears. I started to feel the same way I did that morning and sooner or later.....Pitch black.
I hope y'all enjoyed chapter 1. I know it's kind of sadder than my other book Queen and soon (whenever I decide to work on it) King. But I can't always write love stories so here's a mix
