The New Lady

The instance I stepped into the halls, a spitball was launched at my geeky glasses that I need for long distanced sights. The wet paper filled with saliva had drooped off my glasses and onto the dirty and polished floor

"Hey look! Asyline Hayes is back!" A guy shouted out as the girls shot me a withering glare. They were all wearing very thin clothing and all had their either blonde or brown hair tied let down so thay had cascaded into wavy curls.

I sighed as I looked down and tried not to have eye contact with anyone else in the halls. For if they do, they'll just dissed my family even more because of my very unnatural sea green eyes. Everybody had either blue or brown eyes but I had green cause of the fact that my family has an ancestry from Greek.

Now everybody thinks I'm a freak.

Eventually I saw two pink magenta shoes that reminded me of the pop tart body that is Nyan Cat. What with all the running on multi colored rainbows and going on the annoying sounds of 'NYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYAN.' It's surprising that it was tuned out so fast.

I looked up and I was looked into the flawless face of Betty Cashwell and her clique of lookalikes. Betty had long flowing blonde hair that seemed to have shine in the sunlight, she has a perfect figure. It would be better if she was the old hag in Cinderella.

"Hello Hayes. My linguist tutor was teaching me about old English and Latin? I found out that your last name has something got to do with fire. That that person has inspiration, passion, enthusiasm and desire, dynamic, daring, enthusiastic, active and hopeful. It is bold enough and has the courage to follwo the inspiration or idea. Fire is confident, courageous and a sense of humour. Leadership skills too."

She laughed and she eyed her friends to laugh too, they hesitated and laughed as if it was the funniest joke ever. She then smirked at me as she got near to me face, she's the same height as me but has a lot more power.

"You have nothing got to do with fire! Fire is suppose to be a hot headed and a brave person. You have got to be a mouse, meek and timid, only to be gobbled up by the predator." She shot as I hugged my books closed to my chest. She's right. Why do I have to be born with that last name? Why can't it be Smith instead? Or Johnson. Sounds better than 'Hayes''

She growled at me as she slapped both of her manicured hands down my books. My file came crashing down and my music sheets came spiralling out. A few papers flew near to Betty's Jimmy Choo's high-heeled shows as she raised an eyebrow.

I sniffed as Betty took one, "Clarity? What a good song name for the Music Prodigy. Music Prodigy my butt! I think my father took pity on your because your mother and father are dead!" She smirked as the other agreed with her.

I clenched my fists as I looked up, "Don't talk about my mother that way." I said with a shaky voice. You may insult me, my music or my passion but don't fucking insult my mother you fucking bitch. I growled in my head.

Betty raised an eyebrow, "Why? She probably had done something bad so she end up like that." She taunted at me as she stuck her chin up in the air while eyes widening, daring me to hit her so that I would ge expelled for hitting the Headmaster's daughter.

I clenched my fists as I stood up and we were face to face. That's it. Despite all of the warning bells going off in my mind, I wanted to bitch slap that girl into China and back again. Wouldn't that be amazing?

I raised my hand up to smack that bitch's face but the bell rang and it snapped me out of my Chubacabra state. Betty was still looking at me, putting her plastic surgeried cheek in front of me.

I gritted my teeth and sighed as I put down my hand looked at her, "See! No bravery! Huh! We should get going. We shouldn't spend our time on this trash! It's better if we let her rot in this place! You should be happy that I have acknowledged your existence here, Hayes!"

I kept my head down so there wouldn't see my red eyes. It's better that I don't cry in front of her better than they see me so weak, I won't give them the satisfaction to see the girl ,that had stuck through all of this, cry.

Her clique walked off with their heels and I sniffed as I bent down to pick up my sheet of papers. I picked up my books but because of my short hands, I couldn't reach to the papers so I had struggled with them.

I spotted a hand helping me as I looked up and my eyes widened. What is this? Don't they know that helping me equals to being bullied by Betty's clique for the rest of the school year.

A blonde lady was helping me with the papers as her big brown eyes scanned the area for anymore papers. I watched her as she seemed to genuinely wants to help me and that this is not a joke set up by the Populars.

Her tanned skin seemed to have enhanced her beauty even more. She held the few pieces of paper in her hands and gave a big and bright smile to me. When she smiles, her eyes seemed to have gotten smaller and that smiles reminds me of a certain someone.

"Don't leave me hanging. What I saw you, doing to that girl, is pretty amazing. Just wishing that you had finished the slap so I can blackmail that girl." She mumbled as her brown eyes sparkled with mischief.

I looked up and smiled with a shy smile, "Don't go all Walt Disney on me now." I said as I accepted the sheets of papers in my hands. It's nice to have someone help you once in a while and not have them throw your papers in the trashcan and trying to dig them out.

The lady laughed as I looked at her, she is so young, she couldn't be older than Alijah, whom is 25.  "I'm Kyleigh Hughes, I'm going to be your new History teacher in another.........Five seconds." My teacher? Wow, I would've thought her to be an exchange student.

I suddenly started to analyse the situation as my eyes widened and I looked at her watch, "FIVE SECONDS?!?! SHOOT! I'M LATE!" I exclaimed as I looked at Kyleigh. I cannot be late! This will get me on a permanent record and then I can't go to Juilliard! I started to mentally panic.

Kyleigh just chuckled and made a leading pose to me, "Lead the way Miss.........." I said it in a hurry, "Hayes. Asyline Hayes. And let's hurry! I can't be late for any class in this school!"

I said as I ran to my History class at the end of the halls.

I furrowed my eyes as I looked back and looked at the running lady.

Hughes? Kyleigh Hughes? That sounds familiar........ Too familiar...........
