Victoria Grosvenor's POV.

My life couldn't get any better. At 24, I was a Harvard graduate with a degree in finance and business management. I was the envy of every female population. From the power my English family held to my physique. Men drooled to be with me and I took it as chance to torment their lives.

It was 3 years after graduation. I lived the life of luxury. No party passed me by. I dated the hottest of male athletes, sexiest of models and dashing young American billionaires. They knew who I was after all. Victoria Grosvenor , Heiress to the Grosvenor dynasty from London.

I was sitting on my bed in my condo that I received as a birthday present from Adrian Beltonne, the handsome billionaire who owned the Beltonne bank that was growing so fast when I received a call from the lobby.

"Miss Grosvenor , you have a call from London. They say it's urgent." The receptionist said.

"Thank you, connect me to it" I replied.

After a few seconds I was connected to the call.

"Hello, Victoria Grosvenor speaking" I smiled.

"Hello Victoria" The end of the line replied.

I took a moment to inhale the feeling that build up in me. This voice was all too familiar for my liking. I haven't heard this voice in 6 years.

"James, Nice to hear from you again. It's been a while" I finally said.

"A while indeed. What happened to you? Why didn't you ever bothered to come visit? You threw your grandfather in the trash for your all too perfect American life?" He begun his lecture.

"James can we not do this now? Am getting late for a gala tonight " I said hoping to draw him off.

"So that's all you care about? You don't even care about your family? Your grandfather? The man who raised you as his own? What happened to you Victoria?" I could sense the hurt in his voice.

"What do you want?" I knew entertaining him would be the worse thing. I knew how manipulative he was.

"I just called to inform you that your grandfather had a heart attack, they say his heart is failing. He might have less time left. You can choose to come visit him or stay till you hear of his death" He finally said.

I stayed quiet for a moment. I didn't know I was crying until I felt warm liquid down my cheeks. My grandfather was dying. The only man that took care of me was dying.

"Victoria, are you there?" I heard James ask.

"Yes..yes I'm here. Thank you for the information" I hung up before he could say another word.

I guess it was time to go home. To the home I left 6 years ago.

I quickly called the reception and after a few seconds they picked up.

"Good evening how may I help you?."

"Victoria Grosvenor speaking. Book me the latest flight to London right away." I said in a shaking voice.

"Gimme a second I'll check" I waited for a few minutes then she was back.

"Miss Grosvenor there is a flight that leaves in two hours, would you like me to book you?"

"Yes..yes please. Thank you." I hung up and took bag and begun to pack. After half an hour I was on the back seat heading to the airport.

The flight was a tiring one. I had managed to call James before I left to inform him I was coming back.
