Victoria Grosvenor's POV.

I couldn't think straight. My grandfather had left me a blow I wasn't ready to receive. I now blamed myself for coming back. I really did.

I walked to the living room when I saw the last person I didn't want to see. The only person who makes my blood boil at the mention of her name.

"Dear cousin " she came rushing to me with open arms. I sarcastically hugged her back.

"Hannah, you look...the same" I finally said. She looked like as gorgeous as I remembered.

"And you look different! I see you finally have taste in fashion" She said.

"It appears so" I said wanting the conversation to end.

Just then another least favourite person walked in. When he saw me, he was left out of words. He simply walked slowly towards me.

"Vic.. " He said.

"Hey Eric, it's been a while. How you been? Shame on you! I don't see a ring on Hannah! What's keeping you?" I teased.

Eric was my all time crush when I was in my early and mid teens. But he liked Hannah better. Why? She wasn't weird. Didn't wear braces, glasses, dress like a clown, cry after every ten minutes. She was perfect. The true definition of a London Heiress. And I? I was the nerd. The weirdo of the family. The one who always stayed indoors and didn't want to meet the cream society of London. I had no friends. People said I was odd. Why wouldn't he dislike me?

Looking at him now, Am grateful he never liked me. He was manipulative, and a womaniser. Am sure Hannah is sharing him with someone.

"Vic, still the charmer as always" He smiled seductively.

I eyed my cousin and I could see her being annoyed. Well let's see how far I can go to push her to her last minute.

"And you haven't changed a bit. Still the dashing man I HAD a crush on" I smiled back.

I could feel daggers being thrown at me. Well it was entertaining.

"Actually, Eric and I came to see how grand uncle is doing, isn't that right honey?" She came and wrapped herself around him.

Well it took her less time not to get angry, I must have done a good job.

"Yes, it was nice seeing you again Vic. Maybe we can catch up sometime on forgotten memories" He smiled seductively again.

"Let's hope there's time" I smiled. I walked upstairs knowing clearly he was looking at me until Hannah said something that switched his attention.

I walked to my room to and took my phone and dialled Adrian's number.

"Hey cupcake, I was told you took a quick flight to London. New bag on sale?" He teased.

"I wish" I said annoyed.

"What's up?" He said.

"My grandfather is sick. Am afraid he doesn't have enough time" saying that broke my heart but I had no choice. I'd managed to teach myself to get used to the truth no matter how hard it was. The sooner you accept it the better.

"His heart is failing him" I said slowly.

"Ooh cupcake, Am here for you you know that."

"There is more" I went on. " He has threatened to disinherit me if I don't marry within two months"

The was complete silence on the other side of the line.

"Adrian? You still there?" I asked.

"Yes, Yeah...Yeah am here. What?" He was shocked.
