Blakes POV

First day of my Senior Life.

So this it! Hard work always payoff as they say. After torturing myself working as an intern at my boyfriends aunt's restaurant. I was able to earn enough money to support my own studies not to mention Reagan's complaints on why I keep on turning down his offer of helping me financially. Well it's not that I'm shy or what but we're talking about pride here. I always run to him when my not so pretty life is in chaos. He's always there with open arms. But it's just too much that even my problem with my studies will be his burden too.

"Blake!" A shout, no a roar. Definitely a roar of my drunkard mother calling me from the outside. It was followed by a loud pounding of my bedroom door.

"What the hell!" I whispered of course. Better say it likely to yourself if you don't want to be having a mouth battle to your veteran mother and end up explaining to your professor why you are late on your first day.

"Mother I'm coming!" I shout back after cursing. What's with her? It's not like she does that usually. Calling out for me especially in the morning. Now I'm curious on what she'll gonna tell me. I took a last glance of myself in the mirror. I look too girly and rugged. To change or not to change? I'm wearing a white dress topped with a black blazer and paired it with my favorite black boots. I dress according to my mood. I winked at myself before I grab my bodybag and heads to the door.

I expect an old lady holding a glass of liquor with still a make up on her face and still wearing a flashy outfits after opening the door. Yeah, my mother is working in a small bar outside the city. I was surprised when she greeted me with a smiling face and gives me a tight hug.

Im quite shock on the way she's acting. It's not that she never does things like this but we just had a fight few days ago. And we're in the middle of a cold war. Well, that's my mother, with a split personality. And oh, is she not overreacting because she's still not letting me go. I jokingly gasp so she'll let go off her arms around me. Which she did.

"Blake! My act is serious! " She says with gritted teeth and wide eyes. Again, that's how she normally acts.

" Okay? So what's up with the tight hug? " I asked cluelessly. I really don't have any trace of idea on how she's acting right now. Maybe she accidentally bumps her head into the wall and came to realized that she has a daughter by the way. Or she's too much under the influence of liquor that she's not acting herself again. Whatever maybe the reason I feel happy deep inside because I got to feel her warm hug again.

" Oh my baby... My beautiful baby now looking really like a lady. " She start saying while caressing my hair and looking at how Im dressed. Oh my, Im glad she's not drunk today or esle I will not be able to hear her saying those things.

"I can't believe you're now a senior... I'm so happy for you Blake." She continues while tears started to fall down his wrinkled but still beautiful face.

"Seriously?!" I half shout with a hint of scolding her just to break the teary moment because my eyes are starting to itch now, a warning of a tear that will fall down in a minute If I don't break the ice.

" Mother you just called me Senior and yet your still calling me baby! " I said laughing.

"Shhh! Nonsense! She said with a loud voice again. "

" I came all the way from my work just to bid you good luck on your first day. " She's now in her normal voice. Aw I'm touch. So she's being a mother huh.

Being the good daughter I tried to be, I respond with equal sweetness.

"Oh thanks mother! Now I can go to school with confidence because of you wishing me luck." I smiled and hugged her back.
