When you were younger you always wanted to be a princess with your own kingdom. You could have a unicorn to ride and eat candy everyday. Once you turned 12 you realized that unicorns didn't exist and eating candy everyday was unhealthy, but you could still be a princess. You always acted like a princess by walking and dressing fancy. Sadly, once you turned 13, adults started to ask what you wanted to be in the future.
You obviously said, "I would love to be a princess," but they didn't take you seriously. They said you should be things like a teacher or a chef. You have loved princesses your whole life. You started to question yourself thinking, is this too childish? Until one day, when you were heading to the bus for school, on a snowy day, you slipped on ice. You were embarrassed, until a guy offered to help you up. You wanted to be independent and declined his offer, trying to get up on your own, you slipped again.
This time he caught you and helped you stand up. You noticed him holding your hand when you felt warmer. You quickly pulled your hand away, embarrassed again. When the bus got there it was awkward between the both of you. Once you got onto the bus, you would sit in your normal seat, but he decided to sit next to you. You looked at him confused, he looked at you and smiled. You blushed and looked out the window until you got to school, he stood up and cleared the isle full of people for you. He said, "a princess should have her space."
You have a small memory of someone who always treated you like princess, from elementary school. He was always kind and caring around you, always complimenting you. Finally, you entered the school and walked toward your group of friends, but was followed by the guy. You thought it was strange so you turned to face him and asked, "Why did you say that to me? On the bus?" He stood there and thought for a moment, then said, "Ever since I was 5, I have always wanted to be a prince. And every prince needs a princess, right?"
You started to blush and said, "is that your way of asking me out?" He smiled and nodded, saying, "but I have also always wanted to have a noble stead, to ride on, to save my princess from danger. Or should I say, slippery ice?" You both laughed and started to talk more, until you heard the bell, to go to class. You were a little sad that the fun had to end, but excited to have met a guy that wasn't either taken or gay.
He noticed how you were sad and grabbed your hand, saying, "don't worry my fair maiden, I will find you once more, most likely during lunch." He kissed your hand to say goodbye for now, and started on his way. Until you stopped him and kissed him on the cheek to say your goodbye, embarrassed once again, you hurried off to class.
