Chapter 5: Job

Walking back to my spot at the back of the room, I feel the glare of pity pierce my soul. I look up from the ground and I see MiSun smiling at me, trying to lie to me that I did well. I can see past the hidden meaning with that smile, I know all the contestants are lying, so are the smiling judges, they're all mocking me as I walk back to my destination.

MiSun nudges me in my side as I stand next to her. A comforting feeling replaces my once shameful one. Knowing that someone is there to comfort me even in my failures feels really nice.

"Next contestant," the judges continue as if nothing had just happened, but simply continuously write down on their paper without looking up to see who comes next.

A handsome man with striking features comes up and tells the judges he is wishing for a spot with vocal, just like me.

As he sings everyone in the room is mesmorised, you can clearly tell the emotions that come through his voice,  I can't even see his face, yet somehow I can tell exactly how he is feeling. His story feels as if it's my own.

Once the handsome man finished he walked back to his designated spot. He's all sparkles and smiles, as are the judges. And the feeling of failure takes over once more, but MiSun nudges me again probably guessing how I was feeling in this situation.

The judges call up the next participant once again, and a swaggy styled woman walks up front. She seems as if she has no worries on her shoulders.

The judges seem interested, but not really bothered anymore.

The woman introduces herself, I don't bother to listen to her name, and announces that she sees herself rapping for a future, that she couldn't do anything else in her life, she is dedicated to this profession she has chosen for herself.

But as she started rapping,  even I, someone who can't rap, knew how bad she was. The judges didn't even bother listening after a minute of her rapping, and made her stop soon after. I thanked them mentally, her exaggerated movements were really getting on my nerves. Her rapping no better.

She looked at the judges confused as to why she was stopped in the middle of her performance, but she still looked proud. Like she had just won a grand prize. However she soon returned to the back of the room where she first started.

MiSun was then called up, she looked ready for anything. Her blonde dyed curls bouncing up and  down as she walked forward.

She told them she was here for dancing and singing, and they told her to go ahead, not really bothered after the last performance.

After telling the judges she was going to perform 'Why' by Taeyeon[Her dancing is the video up top, the video is danced by: imlisarhee] the judges looked up, half bothered.

Once MiSun started to sing and dance everyone was completely infatuated. Nobody's eyes could look away. Her style was good, she hit every move perfectly, the judges were awestruck, as was I and the other contestants. Her singing could definitely use some work, but she made up with it with her dancing. Although with some work on her vocals she would debut in no time.

Just as she finished and bowed the judges stood up and clapped more than they did to any other performance, clearly favoritism. Nevertheless all the people in this room knew that BoMi was the best here. Her performance had stunned us all. We all couldn't help but join in on clapping as well, as MiSun bowed and thanked the judges.

Walking back towards me she gives me a smile and a small thumbs up, showing she's proud of her performance. She knows she did well, unlike me.

"I think I did well," she whispered into my ear as she stations herself next to me.
