We walked through the small forest behind our cottage towards the garden. "So how long have you lived here?" asked Dean. "Well since I was 4" I replied. "Where do you live?" I asked Dean trying not to sound like a stalker. "You see those trees over there?" said Dean. "Yes" I replied. Those were the trees that me and my mother would sit under when I was little. We nicknamed them "Mushroom Trees" because they looked like giant mushrooms. "Mushroom Trees?" I said. Dean laughed. "Is that what you folks call them?" "Well what do you call them?" I asked smiling. "I personally think our name is less fantasized. We call them "The Almighty Umbrellas" said Dean in a heroic voice. We both broke out in giggles. "That is where I live. Right behind them" said Dean. We finally reached the Garden. "Wow you have a lot going on here" Dean said. "Yup. Me and my Father decided to get more into natures beauty I mean we are living around it" I said. "And this?" Said Dean. "Well that would be my old swing" I said. "I had forgotten about this swing. My father built it for me when i was seven" I said. "Looks pretty shooken up" said Dean. "Yeah I've been waiting for my Dad to fix it he just hasn't got the time" I said. I sat down on the swing cautiously. It made a loud creaking noise. Then I realized Dean had been staring across the lake for what seemed at least five minutes. "Is everything ok?" I asked. "No, follow me and quickly" said Dean. "What?" I said. "Come now!" Said Dean. He grabbed my hand and dragged me towards the forest. The warmth from his finger tips tickled my own. Was this some wild joke or prank? Or was Dean not kidding? "Dean what's going on?". "I'll tell you later. Now we just need to get out of sight" Said Dean. "What about our fathers?" I said. "It's ok they'll understand" said Dean. "Wait what do you mean? My father knows about this?" I said. "No but mine should realize what's going on when we have been out for a while" said Dean. Once we had reached deep into the forest we stopped and sat on a log. "What were you looking at across the lake?" I asked. "A Therlord" said Dean. "A what?" I replied. "Therlords are very majestical creatures, they are beautiful but if you aren't careful they can pull you into the water with them and drown you." said Dean. " I'm really confused" I said. "I know you are but along the way you will get it." said Dean. " Should we go back to the house?" I asked. "What! Are you crazy!' said Dean. " Therlords don't just live in the water. Once they are seen they haunt the viewer. I looked straight into its eyes!" said Dean. " Is there anything that we can do to stop them?" i asked. "Like isn't there a way to kill them?" "Yes but its very hard" said Dean. It was silent for a long time. I was going along with whatever he was talking about to try to minimize the awkward ness. Then that's when I saw it. "Umm.......Dean" I said in a very quiet but concerned voice . Beside Dean, if I was correct was a Therlord.
