I looked up at the sky at just the right moment to see a shooting star. It shined brighter than any I had ever seen, and apparently I wasn't the only one distracted by it's beauty. I didn't notice a girl walking straight for me staring at the bright star and bumped into her, knocking her over and spilling my coffee all over her. I stared at her for a minute, her black curls dripping coffee, she had freckles covering her face, her bright blue eyes shining in the moonlight, and her large rimmed glasses crooked sitting on her face. Her overly large white sweatshirt was coffee stained and under the light you could see her black leggings soaked as well. I suddenly snapped back into reality as my brain comprehended the situation.
"I am so sorry, let me help you," I tried to grab her hand to help her up but she smacked it away.
"Great my white sweatshirt is ruined now," she sighed and looked up at me and smiled. "I'm sorry, it's been a long day and this just had to top it off."
"Nah, it's fine. I'm the jerk who knocked you over," I offered my hand again and this time she took it, I don't know if I was cold or if it was something else but when our hands touched, I felt a chill run down my spine. "Let me pay for that, there's a laundry place right down the street."
She looked down nervously, "Oh no, that's fine."
"Please, it's the least I could do," She looked up at me and her face was blood red.
"I don't have a shirt under my sweatshirt, I can't take it off," I laughed taking off my sweatshirt.
"Here, now come on," I held out my hand and she took it as we walked down the street, "By the way, do you have a name?"
"Azalea, you?"
"Oliver."

We sat in the laundry mat talking, laughing, and just getting to know each other. Luckily my sweatshirt was so big that it went down to her knees so that she could have all her clothes washed. Azalea was unlike anyone I had met before, she was different from the girls at my school, in my life. I know I had just met her, but she just had this light in her eyes that drew me in.
"I'll be back."
"Kay."
I walked away heading for the restroom. As I went to walk out I stopped and looked in the mirror. I pushed my blonde hair out of my green eyes and straightened out my shirt before I went back out. When I came back she was already in her clothes.
"Well thanks for this, probably need to get home though."
"Okay, see ya around sometime."
I waved and turned to walk away.
"Oliver!"
I turned to be greeted with a kiss, she pulled away and smiled.
"Yeah, see ya around."
She walked away under the moonlight.
