Coraline's POV
I walk through the forest. I look around, watching out for a special tree. I step up to the tree and take a black silk glove off my hand. I put my hand up against the tree's bark and run my fingers over my friends initials. I move my hand over to mine. CH.
I smile softly as I put my glove back on and hike up my skirts. I step towards the way I came and hear rustling. I turn towards the noise.
"Just stop while your ahead." I state, my British accent seeping into the words I say.
"Fine." A familiar voice says. Amaya comes out of a bush and Thomas follows. "Want to play a game of cards?" Amaya asks.
I nod. "Sure, who's dealing." I say casually.
"Thomas. That's why he's here." My friend says, pointing to the boy next to her.
Thomas waves silently as Amaya snaps her fingers. A card table, set with all the cards, appears in front of the trio of 16 year olds.
--Time Skip--
With my victory, I smile and watch as Amaya disappears and Thomas walks away towards his home. I grin, walking towards the Red Queen's palace, my home.
