After school I was headed to work, arriving at 5 pm I made my way to the main office area. This is were I could talk to my boss since her room was in that area.  It might be considered conflict of interest but she was my best friend and my only friend. She always understood me through thick and thin when it comes to things as important as this I know I can always count on her. of course, just before I could arrive at her office Tiffany cut my journey short. she shoved her hand in my way and pushed me back. She had always been such a- excuse my language-a bitch towards me since high school. She would gather all the girls in class and tossed erasers at me when ever I wasn't looking. she was always so mean at me, never giving me a chance to be anything in high school. She even convinced the rest of the drama club to kick me out,if it wasn't for Samantha's help i'm not really sure what could have happened.

"where do you think you're going Nickie? your office is that way"she said as she smacked her gun. The smell of lemon favored gum invaded my senses, it was kinda gross.

"Tiffany I don't have time for this i need to talk to my boss,"I told her while rolling my eyes at her annoying face.

she grunted,"I forbid you, you don't have the right to be the boss's pet this isn't like high school a teacher's pet doesn't exist in this line of work."

I couldn't help but ball up my fists "wh-?!"

I was interrupted; no, rather I was saved by our boss who's presence appeared suddenly behind me.

"Tiffany what do you think you're doing ? harassing one of my workers? would you like another strike on your record?" she said as she placed a hand on her hip.

Tiffany hesitated with her response before speaking"no ma'am, I was just greeting her that was all." Soon after she finished talking she excused herself and left.

Once she was gone I turned to my boss,"Samantha ? you think I can have a moment to talk to you ?"

Sam smiled and nodded,"of course you can."

She directs me to her office and she sat down on her rather large chair. The leather making a rubbing noise when she set her glutenous maximums down.

"so how are you doing by the way Nickie?"she asked she asked me as she leaned into on the table. She made sure to placed her hands underneath her chin to added an extra effect that she was listening. I knew she was trying to be funny, she had always been this way. She would mess with teachers back in high school and middle school. She would always  pointing out every little error teachers would make. Such as spelling errors, miscalculations, and miss pronounced words it earned her the nickname "error bug" from all the teachers.

I sighed "hey is it okay if i can quit working for now?"

She frowned at my question, even looking to see if she could read me a little.

"and why would you want to do that, did something happen?" she asked me being a little concerned.

I shook my head,"no nothing happened, its just that I received this in the mail." I quickly reached into my purse and pulled out the envelope I had read earlier today.  I handed it to her and she read through it carefully. she then set it down on the table, she looked at me and smiled.

"you need to go, you always wanted this so i support you fully"she told me happily.

She gave me a check that day and told me I could return to her business whenever I liked. Now today, seven days later since I left my job was the day I would take my long drive to Hollywood. It was both exciting and terrifying. I didn't know what would be waiting for me there but I packed what I thought I was going to need and shoved it all in the car. I headed out, leaving my home city behind on my way to Hollywood.
