Sophie's POV

I've never believed in miracles, I always thought that they gave false hope, and who wants that? Well I guess my opinion has been proved wrong. A day after my father's funeral, Cameron, Emily and Nash flew back to America but I guess I wasn't ready to leave Harvey and my mom. Every night, at 10pm GMT (British time) I'd have a FaceTime call from Cameron, sometimes the others would talk too, but most of the time it was just him. He told me how much he missed me and how much he couldn't wait to hold me again. Things felt like they were getting more serious between us, I don't know what was will happen between us but I guess time will tell.

Harvey went through some sort of "intense treatment" that could possibly shrink the cancer, and if it was repeated, kill it I guess. We thought he'd have to go through it at least 10 times, but in all honestly that scared me because I know it hurts him. After the first treatment session, they gave and ICU and the light in his chest (where the cancer was, lungs to be precise) was barely there. I don't know how, but somehow that one session shrunk the cancer to make it steps away from being non-existent. Things are slowly getting better, and I feel like thanking my Father for that.

"I'll miss you Soph, do you have to leave?"

"I'll miss you too Harv, but I have a life to get back to. I promised I'd stay until things got better, and they did. Mom has a better job now, you're much much better, if I don't leave now, I never will." I could see the tears in his eyes, it pained me to leave him again, I never really got to spend much time with him because he was always in hospital. "Maybe in a couple of months, when you're completley better, you and Mom can come stay with me for a while, would you like that?" He didn't answer, he nodded his head and tightly wrapped his arms around me. I rested my chin on the top of his head and kissed it.

"Are you ready to leave sweetie?" I nodded my head at my mom and once again, took one last look around the house, I wasn't going to leave the memory of my father here, it would stay with me for as long as I lived.

Mom drove me to the aiport, with Harvey in the backseat, holding my hand. He squeezed it pretty tight as we pulled into the airport, I returned the squeeze. His breath wasn't perfect, he still got tired quickly when he walked so I carried him, my mom pulling my suitcase, with the new clothes I very much needed inside of it. We reached the security gates and that's where I had to say my goodbye. I put him down, and crouched down in front of him.

"You stay being a brave little boy, and remember I'm always a video call away." I wiped the tears that fell from his eyes with my thumb and stood in front of my mom. "I'll miss you, make sure you look after yourself, and Harvey, and remember to call me so we can figure out when you're coming over." She pulled me in for a hug and kissed my cheek. I gave them both a smile and pulled my suitcase towards security, and made my way towards the correct terminal. Goodbye and hello.

Elma's POV

Sophie was coming back today, Cameron wouldn't shut up about it. The boys had been spending a lot of time in our house, Nash stayed most nights, Cameron stayed a few. Emily had told him he could stay in Sophie's bed, it was obvious that he missed her, and well, he had a pretty damn good surprise for her.

"Guys hurry up! Her plane lands in an hour!"

"Cameron dude, chill, it'll only take half an hour to get there, relax!"

"Matt, you don't understand how nervous I am, this could go completley wrong."

Nash laughed at him as he put his arm around Emily, "Dude, it's not that hard, I mean it worked out fine from me."

Taylor shouted from the kitchen, "I think you're forgetting who actually said it!" Everyone present started to laugh, including Cameron but he once again got too impatient and practically ran out the room towards the front door.

"Are you guys coming or not? Hurry up!!" It was only myself, Cameron, Carter, Emily, Nash, Taylor, Matt and Deya going to the aiport, Shawn and Abi were on a date and the rest were going to wait in the house. We climbed into Cameron's black Range Rover with the tinted windows, a present from his mom. I didn't even know he had his license.

He drove really quick, flying through too many red lights, such a rebel. We got to the airport with 15 minutes to spare, Cameron still blames the ducklings that were crossing a road by the river for making us just a little late. I looked at the bulge in his pockets, he kept feeling for it to make sure it was still there, such a romantic.

Cameron's POV

I had sweaty palms, my legs felt like they were about to give in, and the butterflies in my stomach felt like they were high on caffeine, it was crazy. We sat on some seats, I bounced my leg up and down, waiting to see Sophie walk out.

"Can you stop doing that? It's annoying."

"Shut up Matt, you're annoying." He stood up and got me in a headlock, I tried breaking free but damn the kid got strength, he started to tickle my ribs, seriously? He had the chance to throw a few digs and he chose to tickle me? Good one Matthew. He eventually got off me and Nash had already started to video, I wanted him to capture the moment.

I was in conversation with Elma when Nash nudged me, and nodded towards a group of people pulling suitcases, oh my god, there she is.

Sophie's POV

My iPod died halfway through the flight so I had no music to listen to, the only other thing I could do was read the fault in our stars again, and no surprise, but I finished it. I dragged my suitcase, I just wanted to get home and see Cameron. I was looking down at the floor when I heard somebody shout my name, I looked up and Cameron was standing there, Nash was filming, and Elma, Emily, Taylor, Matt, Carter and Deya were standing behind them with smiles on their faces. I let go of my suitcase and ran towards Cameron, he started to run towards me. When we reached each other, he picked me up and spun me around, I've missed him so much and damn he smelt so good. Deya walked past us, walking over to where I'd left my suitcase. Cameron put me down and put his hands on either side of my head, was he going to kiss me? No. He let go and took a step backwards, what the? He pulled a small box out of his pocket, woah wait what? He looked down at the floor, I could see his hands shaking. He got down on one knee, what the fuck? No he is definitely not proposing, we aren't even dating. The box was too small for a ring anyway, but what is it?

"Cameron, what-"

"Sophie Anne Rowland. I knew there was a connection between us when we first met, I don't usually go for looks, yeah yours drew me in, but it was your personality I fell in love with. This may be cliche or whatever but I don't care. I hope it's not to early to say I love you, but I do, I love you Sophie. I want to promise you forever, I want to give you all I am-"

"That includes his 2 inch dick!!!" Wow, classy Taylor, real classy.

Cameron flipped him off and finished, "So what I'm trying to say is, will you do me the honour of being my girlfriend?" I could feel the tears in my eyes, I was speechless. He opened the box and there was a silver braclet in there with a small Emerald stones scattered in the chain, my birthstone. "You probably thought it was an engagement ring or something, but it's not, it's a promise bracelet, I have one to match." He pulled his sleeve up to reveal a similar bracelet, but not half as girly. "Because I promise that no matter what, I'll be there for you through whatever life throws at you, I promise that I'll love you more everyday if that's even possible, and I promise that I'll look after you. I just want to know, do you accept?"

"I-I-..."

A/N: Ooooh cliffhanger! Sorry I haven't been able to update, I was busy with other things and I haven't been well, but as soon as my exams are out the way, I'll try and update a lot more!

And that, was the beginning of the rest of my life.
