Draco POV
Walking to the ball I notice something, someone coming down the stairs to my eyes the prettiest thing I had seen all night (especially not my date, Pansy Parkinson) but to my horror it was the mudblood, Granger. So I convinced my self to walk away, but when I found myself thinking of her all night, Pansy noticed but I told her it was just a family issue so she thought nothing of it.
Later on I saw Weasley in his ugly dress robes, arguing with Granger so before I knew what I was doing I started to walk over there to put that Weasley in his place but then they noticed so I just played it off as I was there to make fun of Weasley but I found myself complementing Granger. I knew I mucked up then but she thought nothing of it actually, she complemented me back so everything was good.
Later that night Crabbe and Goyle asked me why was looking at Granger during the slow dance ,'fuck' I had been caught I just asked them what they were talking about then walked off to the common room where I sat for the most of the night. Nobody noticed me in the corner so I was left in peace to think about what this evening meant.
