Tank Wars (Rwby- Yang x Nora)

Chapter 2: Date & Time

"I have some free time" Yang said as she stretched, getting out of bed. It was 4:00pm on a Saturday. She was up pretty late the night before, rehearsing how she was going to talk to Nora.

"Finally you're up, you sloth!" Weiss giggled, handing Yang a fresh hot cup of coffee.

"Be quiet." Yang rolled her eyes and walked towards the door. "I'll see you later, Ice Queen." Yang had no idea where she was going. She'd just hoped to run into Nora. And that she did. Literally.

"Oof!" Nora shouted, now rubbing her sore lower back.

"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention..Whats your name again?" Yang gestured to help Nora up. She tried to act cool but it only seemed to tick Nora off.

"Its Nora. Nora Valkyrie. We even had a food fight in the beginning of the year! Im going to guess you have a bad memory. Nora giggled, crossing her arms.

"S..sorry about that..hey, are you hungry?"

"A little bit." Nora felt her stomach. *AUURRRRRRR* "...okay..very." Yang giggled at Nora's attempt to act cool. She thought it was adorable.

"Well it's settled then! Im taking you to get something." Yang grabbed Nora's hand and pulled her along to the first restaurant she saw. She turned her head over to the table beside them. There was an average looking female with messy red ends. She was wearing sunglasses, covering her face with a menu. "Ruby??" Yang questioned. Nora drifted her attention that way.

"Uh...oh heeeeyyy guys! I was just....buying some shrimp.."

"They don't serve shrimp here." Yang raised an eyebrow.

"T-they don't? Oh...well uh...see you later!" Ruby bolted out of the scene. Nora and Yang sit there giggling.

They talked for hours, not realizing that any time had gone by. They talked about their meetings before, their weapons and gear, and even the ability festival. Nora then orders a huge glass of pink lemonade with two straws. "Whoever drinks the fastest wins!" Nora exclaimed, handing Yang a straw.

"You're on." Yang said competitively. Both of them slurped away at the large drink, ultimately, Yang drank the fastest. "Woo hoo!" Yang let out a short cheer. Nora looked up at the clock.

"Awwwww it's 8 o'clock! I gotta go meet Ren somewhere." Nora pouted. Yang smiled lightly with a look of jealousy.

"Oh..are you and Ren..?"

"Oh of course not! We've been friends since we were little. He's family to me." Yang let a small sigh of relief as she looked out the window. "Right...well I'll escort you there if you want.." Nora lit up. "That'd be great! You could come with us!" Yang smiled.

"Why does he want you with him so late?"

"He wanted to take me to a bridge. He found some really pretty flowers floating across the water and he wanted to show me." Yang laughed at Nora's cluelessness and Started walking with her to the bridge.
