I open my eyes gently awaking from my dreamless sleep, even if I never have dreams anymore that doesn't bother me. pushing my thoughts away I sit up from my makeshift bed and rub my eyes, setting my hands on my lap and sitting quietly thinking of nothing in particular, "good morning Y/N.." i barely catch the small voice talking to me, making me snap out whatever trance I was in a few seconds ago and look up at Shyren who is currently sticking her head out from my ceiling "good morning Shyren how did you sleep?" She gives me a small smile before replying "I slept well thanks to the music box you gave me recently the songs you make are absolutely delightful" I give her a small smile back before standing up and stretching "I don't think they are that good I'm trying to improve though, if anything your singing is absolutely breathtaking but I'm glad my music box helped you to sleep" she twirls around happily saying "why thank you, Oh! Once you get dressed come on up I have a present for you" I raise my non existent eyebrow at her but she is already gone, sigh she has a mind of a child but what can you do. After putting on my clothes I grab my dark purple cloak given to me by the river person and place it on my shoulders sighing in content, I always feel safe when I wear this. Snapping out of my thoughts once again I lift my hand up the palm of my hand facing up until I gracefully lower it to face the ground, a stream of water following my movement until its slips under my feet and starts to lift me up, up to the surface, "you took your time, I was getting worried that you already left to explore" a small smile appears on my face "sorry I had to part the water from the stream so I dont come out of my house drenched like I did last time, you know im not good at using my skill in the mornings" she waves her hand in a 'I've heard it all before manner' making me chuckle quietly and sit down next to her "so what was it you wanted to show me?" she perks up as she hears that and slips into the water coming back only a few seconds later with a bracelet cupped in both of her hands, I look at the small glowing hot chain in awe "its beautiful Shyren but isn't it burning you? Its glowing hot." She giggles before reaching for my hand and pulling it closer to her showing my almost see through limb, attaching the bracelet around my small wrist "the opposite actually, I found it floating in the stream, its a fire protection bracelet meaning you won't get hurt when you come in contact with anything warm or hot! which means you can go explore the hotlands now!" A big smile breaks out on my face as I pull the shy monster into an embrace "oh my god thank you Shyren you dont know how much this means to me!" She smiles as a shy blush appears on her cheeks hugging me back, "anything for my best friend. Now go an explore and make sure to tell me all about it when you get back!" Releasing her from the hug I nod pulling my hood over my head while running out of the waterfalls.
