~Dipper's POV~

It's the beginning of summer and Mabel and I decide to spend our summer here at Gravity Falls. It has been a while since we last came here, and I was so excited to see my old friends and even Bill. A lot of memories were made here, either good or bad. I mean, it is Gravity Falls after all. It's the place filled with old and new mysteries, waiting to be solved. On our way to Gravity Falls, Mabel and I wait impatiently on the bus, almost bouncing up and down in our seats, especially Mabel. We were getting close to Gravity Falls, I could feel it. Also because I saw a sign that said, 'Welcome to Gravity Falls!'

This summer, I was hoping to see Bill and improve my love life. As the bus slowly stopped, I quickly walked off of the bus, only to be greeted by the smell of pie in the air and birds chirping cheerfully. It was the same old, quiet town as I had remembered. I was shook. Not many things had changed, besides for a few small buildings. Mabel was probably as shook as I was because I had barely heard her say a word whenever we walked out of the bus.

I looked over at her and saw her smiling with a cheerful look on her face. She looks over to me and says, "I'll race ya to the Mystery Shack!" I look at her, quickly shooting down her idea."C'mon Mabel, you know you'll win! Besides, even if you do win, you'll never let me live it down." I say as I roll my eyes. As I look back at Mabel, I see her smile, a creepy smile in fact. I was almost frightened by her, not knowing she could even make a smile like that. "How about this Dipper? The loser has to give Grunkle Stan a bath, for the rest of this summer!" I knew what Mabel was planning, but it would be fun to see Mabel lose, at least once. "All right, I'll take that risk." As soon as I had said that, I had sprinted past Mabel, running around the corner of a building, and into the woods.

As I had thought, the woods were still the same. As I was nearing the Mystery Shack, I could hear Mabel catching up. With all of my might and all of the energy left in me, I dead sprint up to the Mystery Shack. I felt as if I was about to pass out or throw up anytime soon. I look behind me and see Mabel out of breath as well. "Hah... ah.. I win!!" I say, falling to the ground, out of breath. "Ugghhh fine. You win Dipper, but next time, I won't go so easy on you!" I shake my head, giving her a doubtful look. "Hah, good...luck with..that. At least I don't have to give Grunkle Stan a bath for the rest of the summer," I say with a demonic grin. "What's this about having to give me a bath?"Before I have time to get up, I see Mabel almost tackling Grunkle Stan, giving him a hug. I get up and slowly walk towards Grunkle Stan and Mabel, getting ready to embrace them. "Well, let's get you two kids inside and into your own rooms." "Okay!" We both say while still trying to catch our breath.

As we enter the Mystery Shack, I notice the place was empty. I continue to walk past everything and up the steps to where my room was located. There were two rooms, one on each side of the building. I chose the room on the left side, so Mabel had the right side. As I had entered my new room, I notice how neat and clean it was. There was a desk, a window, a bed with a blue and white blanket and blue pillows with a pine tree on it, and a bathroom. I closed the door and locked it so nobody could bother me while I unpacked. As I dragged my suitcase to the bed and thought of what to unpack first. I decided to open the window to get some fresh air, then I return back to my bed, beginning to unpack my clothes.

After I was done unpacking, I heard a loud knock on the door, so I went to go see who it was. I opened the door and it was just Mabel, standing there."Dinner's ready! We made hamburgers and fries tonight!" I smile to myself, feeling as if her enthusiasm is contagious. "Heh, thanks Mabel but i'm not that hungry." As soon as I had said that, my stomach had started to growl. "Looks like your stomach says otherwise," Mabel says happily. "Ugh, fine. I hate it when you're right!" "Yay!" As we walk down the stairs, I notice the table filled with plates with hamburgers and fries on them. There were three chairs, one for each of us. I sat on the right side, Mabel sitting next to me and Stan in front of me.
