This poem is for my dog Bridget who died awhile ago.

A pet is all you can ask for when your a kid.

Their your first friend you've ever made.

A pet's life is filled with love and laughs.

And making memories too.

A pet comforts you when you cry or when your hurt.

Life as a pet can be a bliss or a burden at times,

But they stay with you no matter what.

As it gets to their end,

You can't help but look back to those memories you guys made.

But you don't want them to leave.

You want to keep your pet selfishly to yourself.

Not going into another life.

You cry and cry for a long while now.

And all of a sudden you stop and think.

That your pet is in a better place.

Running happily in a field, free.
