Waiting on a lady, come find me, be forgiven
I'll be a regular guy for you, I never said I'd do that

THIRD POINT OF VIEW

Everything was starting to get back on track after Mirabelle and Jasper made up. The handsome devil hadn't returned from his hunt but called Carlisle to ask if he could tell Mirabelle to stay at their home until he did. He needed to hunt more in order to appease his starvation. The last thing he wanted was to lose his control.

Seeing as it was the weekend, she didn't mind. Charlie was a bit of nuisance for her to convince that nothing inappropriate would be taking place. She mentioned over and over that Doctor Carlisle and Esme would be in the general vicinity. Bella was blowing up her phone with questions. Mirabelle mentally facepalmed at Edward's incomplete explanation. She decided to ignore both of their pleadings so that they could deal with it on their own.

'You two are mates. If you can't convey something like this properly then things'll be even harder in the future.'

Rosalie and Alice were sure to reprimand her for blowing them off for the past few days. As compensation, Mirabelle allowed them to dress her in whatever they wanted for the majority of the morning. However, when her tolerance had reached its limit, she slyly escaped back downstairs. The Swan took her time to memorize the house's layout. There were no photos. No real memoirs besides the huge glass case of graduation caps - an inside joke Jasper had stated.

Her attention was directed to an open door that led into a study. She smiled politely when she saw it was Dr. Carlisle. His sharp, pale nose was stuffed in a book. The glasses he wore was more of a prop for his costume but after wearing it for so many years he just wore it whenever he read by instinct. Mirabelle politely knocked on the door.

"Am I disturbing you?"

The blonde haired man smiled. He softly snapped his book shut, setting aside to stand. "Not at all. What can I do for you?"

"Well...I've noticed that a lot of the stuff on the media about vampires weren't true..."

"Ah, yes. Much of the information you'd find on our species was conjured up by human superstition. We made them believe what they wanted to keep our race safe. Was there something you wanted to know?"

"Nothing in particular. I just thought that...well if Jasper and I are dating, and I'm going to be coming around a lot, it might be good...to know...about you guys. Ignorance is a bliss but knowledge is pleasure." Carlisle's smile widened even more. As Jasper's 'father' he naturally worried about what kind of woman his mate would be.

When he heard she was a human, he had to admit that he was doubtful it could work between them. However, Mirabelle exceeded his expectations time and time again. She was absolutely perfect. For Jasper and their family. "This study is my personal record of our history. There are also scrolls that I've collected over the years - journals about our history before we were even a people. You can help yourself to whatever you'd like."

Mirabelle's eyes lit up like Christmas lights. She had no shame and so she didn't hold back. Her arms were filled to their limit with books dating back to the earliest ages of vampirism. Jasper's room became her personal reading place.
