Katie's POV (1 week)

"Frankly, I'm quite sick of airplanes. Aren't you?"

"You get used to it."

"Ah."

Harry and I exited the taxi, having already paid. The driver got out with us and grabbed our bags. I muttered a 'thank you' as we walked up to Kelly's place hand in hand. Grabbing my keys out of my pocket, I unlocked the door and we walked in.

"WE'RE BACK!" My peppy voice filled the air.

Multiple 'shhhs' were said in reply. I looked around the house and saw all the lights were off. The only light I could see was from the TV. My eyes focused in and saw it 'World War Z'. Really, in the dark? I flipped on the lights to everyone's annoyance.

"Katie! What the hell? We are trying to mend a broken heart here!" Kelly snapped as she turned to look at me. "Well I didn't know! Who are we trying to fix?"

"Niall. Him and Emily broke up yesterday when they returned."

"Broke up? How?" I heard Harry ask next to me.

"Apparently, there was a guy looking at Emily, flirting with her right in front of Niall and she didn't do a thing about it. She even flirted back! Well, that's what we've heard. When they got in the taxi, Niall spoke to her about it and totally denied it. She said they were just talking about the book she had in her hand. Emily thought he was overreacting and said she did not want an overprotective boyfriend. So she dumped him."

"Aw, Ni. Come here," Harry cooed and walked over to him. He was on the couch with a blanket wrapped around him. Poor guy. I may have not like her but I did have to admit; they were good together.

"You and I. We don't wanna be like them. We can make it to the end. Nothing can come between you and I." My phone started to ring. Everyone looked at me as my cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

"Heh...One moment." And I rushed out of the room, immediately picking it up.

"Hello?"

"Katie. How are you, it's your mother."

"Sadly, I know the voice of you. You don't need to tell me who you are. Or at least tell me you are someone you're not."

"I've told you a million times. I may not be your mother by law but I still am your mom. But this is not what I called for."

"What do you want?"

"I suggest you go outside. Now, please."

"Fine."

And I hung up the phone. My feet carried me to the front door. Getting my hands on the handle, I opened the door and there was my mom, standing there like it wasn't a problem.

"Nope," I spoke and shut the door, only for it to be stopped with a foot. Her foot.

"I taught you better than that."

"People can change in a couple of years, Lisa." My lips spoke her name with obvious venom. He lips formed a straight line. "Mom," she corrected, "I'm your mom."

"No. You are not. What are you doing here? How did you find me? Don't you know what happened to dad?"

"Yes, I do know what happened to your father. 2, I did some research. You were not very hard to find. In fact, millions of things came up about you. But we will talk about those later," she laced her fingers together in front of herself.

"You didn't answer my first question; What are you doing here?"

"Simple. I came to talk."
