The girl in the hoodie...the girl in the hoodie, the one least noticed, the one most judged, the one most misunderstood, and the one who watches from the sidelines as life passes by. From the moment of birth she had expectations to fill, expectations bigger than her. A preemie baby who was told she was going to have learning disabilities and the need for special education for the rest of her school years. A baby girl so small she had to wear dolls clothes. A baby made by accident after a miscarriage. She knows she shouldn't blame herself for the miscarriage and that she isn't a mistake but she's accuses herself anyway. No matter how many people tell her what a miracle she is....she does not believe them and she does not have a reason as to why. She's constantly reminded of how she was close to losing her mother during birth. And how if it came down to it, her grandmother would want her mother to be the one to live while the new mother wished for her baby to have a chance even if she didn't. But thanks to her mother's strength they both pulled through. All while her father was not there to support her and cut their baby's umbilical cord because of work. In his place was the baby's grandma, who took the liberty of cutting the cord for him.
